This Laptop Is Quite Frustrating!

November  6, 2019

Good morning.  You're not going to believe this, but I just finished typing my post and it all disappeared.  Poof!  Just like that.  I just can't re-type it all again, so this will be a short post.  I'm sorry about that but I just can't make myself get chatty all over again.

This new laptop is just too sensitive!  I'll be typing along and all of a sudden a menu shows up on my post and the machine starts typing on a different line, right in the middle of another sentence.  This keyboard has numbers and other stuff way over on the right side.  I don't like this, but it's the way the laptop was made.

There is a delete button (an extra one)  at the bottom right corner of these numbers.  I think my hand may have brushed up against this button.  I wish I could figure out a way to disable this part of the keyboard.  I don't use it, and it is definitely giving me a lot of grief.

One of the photos that I had posted was this one showing some of the leaves that the wind has blown up onto my porch.  I find all the shapes and colors very interesting.

The other photo that I had posted was one that I borrowed from the web.  I don't know who the doggie is or who the owner is, but this could be my little Pogo as a puppy.  It looks just like him!  I wonder if the puppy is related to my Pogo.  What do you think?

Now I'm going to make a fresh cup of coffee and do a bit of blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Good morning Edna, and thank you very much for your comment on my latest post about Mine Falls Park in NH. It seems we are practically neighbors as I read on your profile that you live in MA. We've been in Nashua for about 4 years but are NJ natives and previously lived for 12 years on the VA eastern shore in a very small town (500 pop.) so we are really living in a big city now. I plan to read some of your previous blog posts too, but will most likely not have the time to comment on all of them. Good luck with that new PC as they can be so frustrating. I still don't know all the ins and outs of mine and have had it for 3 years now!

Oh, getting used to the new laptop will take a bit of time. You talked about the number part on the right side. If it is like mine, you could have a key on almost top of the numberpart with "Num lock". Perhaps you can put taht on. Try it on a text if it works when typing the numbers there, if it does, touche the numlock key and if it is well, there will not appear numbers when you type them with the number part on the right. Don;t know if it also works on the del key on the right.
Love the costumes of Deanne and Eddy for Halloween. Rather frightning LOL!
Monday I had a little burst of energy, did quite some things, yesterday a bit less, but today I said to myself I will have a real quiet day. No shopping, no cleaning(just did a quick vacuum cleaning).
Sometimes we just have to order ourselves to take it a day easy, I think.
Good idea of the pumpkin use for the birds. I didn;t know they liked that. I have a gourd, that for use needs to be cut, so the outside that I cut of always has some flesh left on it, Perhaps I can try to hang that out for the birds. We'll see how they like it.
Pogo loves to take a rest into his blankets, and he looks so cute on the photo, taking his nap!
Now you take it easy, and have a wonderful day.
Hugs
Kyra

Just another thought on your disappearing post. It happens to me sopmetimes too but then in Blogger you have under "posts"the subject "draft"and sometimes when my post disappeared I can find it there and edit it further and then publish it.
Don;t know it this is the case but you never know.

Oh no! That's so frustrating. I've had that happen before too. The perils of technology!

Very cute dog!

It is frustrating when you do all that typing and thinking and then it disappear. That's one reason you will never see my comment on Sean of the South blogs anymore. I will read them but I donot comment because when you send it, it disappear. I did that several times and I thought to myself, this is not worth the stress of worrying about it. (lol) I am a self motivator. I doesn't have time for all these mishaps that can be avoided.

I've used windows `0 for 3 years now or more. Whenever it first came out and Microsoft gave it to us free. It is different but not difficult to get use to. Once you get it, you will like it. It's a lot better than the other window OS because you can restore and repair your own computer when something weird happen to it. You use to have to carry it out to the shop. I hope you and Pogo have a beautiful and healthy day. Oh well, our summers are back again today.

I thought that puppy was Pogo! It sure looks like him doesn't it? He is the most well mannered Gentleman around or so says his Auntie Beth!

My laptop is sensitive too. I am sure that once you get use to typing it will all become a bit easier for you to get use to.
I seem to lose my blog post quiet frequently it seems. Sometimes I get lucky and it will reappear when I go to write a new blog post. Next time you lose it just wait for 10 or 15 minutes to see if it reappears as a draft.

Super busy here today and I am sure the entire weekend. Give my boy lots of kisses and cuddles... and you my sweet friend have a wonderful weekend. xx
