HAPPY NEW YEAR

January 1, 2019

Good morning, and Happy New Year to you.  Well, did any of you get to watch the fireworks displays last night?  I meant to.  I got all settled to.  I fell asleep.  Even Pogo fell asleep early.  We both woke up around 3 a.m.  Unfortunately, all the beautiful fireworks displays were over.

I made the best of the situation though, and made breakfast.  Pogo didn't want any.  Instead, he went back to sleep.  He looks pretty sharp too, wearing his new Patriots hoodie sweatshirt.  It's a little big on him, but once it is washed and dried, it will probably shrink down a bit.

Today I'm watching a Law & Order SVU marathon on TV.  I can do this while I'm going through all the junk mail, magazines and catalogues that I have set aside for today's project.  I should try to work on taking care of this mail stuff the day it comes.  I guess I can make that a resolution for this year.

I also have to make another resolution.  To work on exercising my left arm.  Because the handle for my lounge chair is on the right side of the chair, my right arm is the only arm to get lots of exercise.  So, now I have a fat left arm and a thinner right arm.  Not a pretty sight!  I do have the rubber exercise bands, so I guess I'll have to hook one of them up to something and start giving my left arm a daily workout.

I have a photo to share today.  This tree is simply fascinating.  I pass by it whenever I take Jazzy to the college and when I pick her up to go home.  One day I decided to pull over to the side of the street and try to get a photo of it.

And here' a close up of its amazing tree trunk.  Nature is simply awesome!

If I get a chance, I'll go back there one of these days with my Canon camera and try to get better photos.  Actually, I can't wait for a nice day when I can go out looking for things to photograph.  I really do miss doing that.

Well, that's it for today.  Before I go, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year.  I hope this new year is going to be a great year for all of us.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Happy New Year to you my friend! I hope it will be a happy and healthy one for all of us! I missed the fireworks too. They are usually popping around our house and keep me awake, but not last night:) Pogo is looking mighty sharp this morning! That tree is gorgeous! Have a blessed day, I think I am staying in and taking the tree down today. HUGS!

Happy New Year to you Edna and Pogo! Oh my he does look sharp in his little Patriots hoodie... I think that he looks sharp in everything that he wears!

I was up but didn't watch the displays on tv. I had displays right out side my door. I stepped out for a minute and they were so pretty. I guess we moved to the right spot to watch the fireworks right outside in our parking lot.

I had a cup of hot chocolate before going to bed and I caught several clips of the fireworks from other countries. I thought Indonesia was just gorgeous.

Jonathan and I are going to Walmart soon so I have to get a shower. I don't want to rush in and out today. I would really like to look around. Hugs to you and Pogo. Talk to you later on... Beth xxx

Happy New Year.....I didn't see the ball drop either. Nor the fireworks. I went to sleep with all the noise that was going on around my house. Fireworks going off and dogs barking. I did wake up when my sister from Louisiana called me and wished me a Happy New Year. She laughed because she could tell I was sleep. Pogo is getting lots of sleep so he can go out tonight. (lol) Have a great day.
