Good morning. My front door is open and there is a wonderful cool breeze coming into the room. The daytime temps have warmed up a bit again, but it is still just awesome outdoors. Lots of sunshine, birdies chirping and squirrels and chipmunks scampering all around looking for food. See what I mean? Awesome!
I will have to try a different market this week to see if I can find a big bag of peanuts. Walmart doesn't seem to have them. I buy them for the birds and little critters in the yard. Have you ever watched a chipmunk stuff a peanut in each cheek, one between his teeth and then still look disdained because he can't figure out how to carry another peanut while he runs back to his nest? It's worth the price of the bag of peanuts.
Today is National Dog Day. Thank you Dee Dee for reminding me. And thank you to my friend Connie for sending me these adorable doggie pix (from the web) to share.
That Nose Art image should be attached to the rear passenger door on the driver's side of my car. The window in that door is Pogo's window, and he has done all the "artwork" himself. Lastly, it wouldn't be right not to share a photo of Pogo. After all, today is his day!
Last night, I worked on the colorful yellow afghan. I found that I had messed up a bit about three rows back and had to tear out the last three rows to fix it, then crochet the three rows back on. Of course I kept on crocheting, and now I am down to the last sixteen rows to finish up this afghan.
That keeps me right on schedule. I had wanted to finish the navy blue afghan and the lavender afghan before the end of August. I did not finish the lavender one, but at least I will have two afghans finished. My goal for September will be to finish the lavender afghan and the new cornmeal afghan.
I think it's about time I started going through this year's photographs and decide which ones to use on next year's calendar. Once I've decided on which photos to use, getting them all sized and ready for print is another whole project.
Now it's time to get dressed and get started on this beautiful new day. So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

They say that every dog has his day, but I think Pogo gets 365 of them a year....as is only right!
Cute images - there's nothing as fun as seeing animals in cute poses.
You are really going to town on those afghans!
Happy dogday to Pogo.
He is quite an amusing fellow, and I never could have guessed he is such a creative doggie, with his nose art on your carwindow LOL.
You are going great on your afghans!
Jan is preparing to go to his interview, well, I only can cross fingers that it will go well, but you never know with councils and government regulations and rules!
There are some great sites on the net to see how and to read how exactly you will have to connect another screen on your laptop. From what i saw, it shouldn;t be too hard.
Just for surfing the net and mail and such things, the laptop screen is good enough. But as i said, for designing in Photoshop, having my big one back would be awesome.
Shopping to do this morning, weather still looking good enough so probably i will stay dry.
Have a wonderful day, greets to Janet too

Hi Edna, You just have to use this photo of Pogo in your calender next year. He's so cute. I love reading your blog and seeing your beautiful photos. Yours and Kyra's are the only ones I am keeping up with while we are away on our travels around Australia. (We are away till Christmas). Higs Elee
Thanks, Elee. Australia is such a beautiful country. Have a fantabulous vacation. Hugs, Edna B.
