Only Fifteen Days Till The New Year

December 16, 2015

Good morning.   Today the sun is shining.  Although the temperature will be a bit cooler, only in the mid 40's, it is still quite nice.  Have you noticed?  There are only fifteen days left in this year.  It's just amazing how quickly this whole year has flown by.

This morning I've been watching a travel station on TV.  The first program was about Taiwan, their teas and ceramic tea pots.  (and other stuff)  Now they are focusing on Delhi and Agra, India.   It is all quite interesting.   This program is called Rudy Maxa's World.

Gosh, I've got quite tied up in these programs, and neglected my typing here.  Yesterday was a rather quiet day here.  I moved a few dust bunnies around, and put a couple more rows on the pink baby blanket.  All in all, I did not do very much.

Last evening I thought I might put a few more rows on the blanket, but Pogo had other ideas.  When I pick up my crocheting, he gets on my lap and makes himself comfy in my lap blanket.  At this point, I don't get much done on my crocheting.

I think that I'll set up my Christmas Angel today.  If my new tree should arrive after that, I'll just check to make sure the lights work, and put it away for next year.  Well, maybe.  I'll have to think about this.  But I do think I want the Angel set up.

Later this afternoon, DIL Janet should be coming by.  I haven't seen her for two weeks because she's been sick with a bad cold, and I've missed her.  She loves macaroni and cheese, so that's what I'll make for her supper.

Sometime today, I need to bring in all the bags that are in the trunk of my car.  I guess I'll have to store them in my bedroom.  Where else?  Tomorrow is food shopping day so I need the space in my car.  I've run out of bows, so I'll have to pick more up when we go shopping.   I'd also like to work on the pink blanket a bit too.

That's about all my news for this morning.  Before I go, I do have another Christmas QP for you.  This one features some of the beauty of Winter and Nature.  I hope you like it.

Now I'm off to wash the breakfast dishes and do a few things around here.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a magnificent day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,
Hi, I really love today's QP. Too cute!

I just got off of the phone with my diabetic supply company and re-ordered my supplies. It was really easy to do and now I don't have to worry about running out of strips and especially lancets. My gosh they sent me 6 boxes last time. Not to mention that my last endocrinologist gave me a box every time I went to see him. So I am using up my old before I open up the new boxes and I told the lady when I called that I didn't need the lancets that I had plenty she said that they have to go by the doctors order and so it looks like with this order I am getting 2 more boxes of lancets. I will talk to my diabetic coordinator and have her tell my doctor to change the order.

Oh I just went for a refill of coffee and looked out the window and Guess Who was out walking his little dogs? Yep it was Santa! Sometimes he stops this way for a little while to rest up before his long journey which starts really soon! I have to go to the Google Tracker today and get an update.

My cousins little pommy had one puppy this morning at 3 o'clock something. She wouldn't let my cousin near her but she was worried that she might have been having trouble as over an hour passed and there was no more puppies. I told her that it might take her a little while since this was her first time giving birth.
Oh yes, I was still up at 3 o'clock something. Actually until 6:30 this morning. I cannot believe that I could not go to sleep. I kept checking my phone for news and then I just gave up. I got up and several others who were not able to sleep joined me online for a chat. One of my friends that I haven't talked to on a regular basis was online so it was good to catch up with him.
I didn't know how late it was until my alarm went off. I was like wow I might as well stay up and watch the sun rise but in the end I was able to sleep for a few hours.

I was wondering how Pogo would do with a bean bag to lounge upon. I seen one that I thought of getting my grandson Dante for Christmas. It is not really big and I think that Dante will have fun flopping around on it. And it was very inexpensive too. $16.00 so that was not bad.
Your right about Cisco. His nerves must be bothering him. When Carol was shampooing my carpets yesterday he became very agitated and got sick in our bed. Poor guy. So I had to change the bedding. Thankfully just on the sheets and not all over the comforter and blankets.

It is cool out here today but not gray and soggy. Sunshine has made its way thru the clouds and with it brought much needed cool air. The winds were really high during the night. While I was up I could hear it blowing thru the trees.

I downloaded the latest kit last night from one of the designers. Not my cup of tea but I managed to do a page. The kit is called Jingle Skulls. It is a Gothic Christmas kit. I have to go and upload the page soon. I made it look like Santa tripped and was being hit in the head with falling Christmas ornaments. It was all I could think of at the time.

Nathan just came home. He has an appointment around 2:00 today so I need to get with him to help me out with a few things. Jonathan wasn't too happy about the way that I had the living room arranged but I told him that it was time that I started to live in this house and not just my room. He didn't hate it exactly but he wasn't thrilled either. He is not one for change.

I guess that I will head over to Facebook and get the links and upload this page. Then I think that I might just try and sleep a couple more hours. You and Pogo have a great day today and have fun with the grocery shopping. Talk to you soon! Beth and Cisco.

Hi Again... If there are any mistakes in my first post I hope that you can still make sense of it.
Apparently I am very long winded because when I went to post it said that my comment couldn't be accepted because it was too long so I had to go in a thin it down. I will try to remember next time that this is a comment section and not a book section lol...
Hugs, Beth

We also have such mild weather overhere, which I don;t mind at all.
Hmmmm, I also have some of those moments that I feel I should do something as housework, but I;ve trouble getting it started LOL.
As it will be nice weather here today,l I think I'll go out, have to do some grocery shopping and if I am lucky, I;ll find a lot for Christmas days. Best to find it now and get it, because in the days just before there is a run on them in the stores.
Nice you will jave Janet for a visit again. Hope she really is feeling better.
Saw somewhere on tv a nice variant on it, there must be a recipee on the net from that Christmas cooking show, if I find it, I will send it to you. Also saw something simple but tasty, made with left overs, looked very interesting.
Okay, will slowly get into gear to dress and then go for the shopping and doing that I will have time to think about what we will eat for dinner.
Have a wonderful day.
Hug
