Happy Halloween Everybody

October 30, 2015

Good morning.  Today is starting out quite sunny, and a bit chillier than yesterday.  Gosh, yesterday turned out to be such a fabulous day.  The clouds and the rain went away, and the sun took over with super nice temps.

This morning (on the news) they are talking about how stores will be putting up their Christmas decorations and starting their Holiday sales right after Halloween.  What ever happened to waiting until after Thanksgiving?   Don't these retailers understand that us customers only have X amount of money to spend on shopping, so these early sales will not get us to spend more money?

I learned many many moons ago that the best way to get the holiday shopping done was to do it in bits all through the year.  When you have a large family, you have to learn how to make your money go a long way.

Well folks, the big day is almost here.  Tomorrow is Halloween!!!  Tomorrow night, Pogo and I will meet up with friends and go on our annual broom ride.    Pogo had his hair trimmed recently, so I've tucked a little lapghan into his "broom seat."  It's already snowing in some places, and I want to keep my little guy warm.

I've been saving my "scary" quick page for today.  I found this adorable "scared skeleton" and just had to use it.  I hope you can have fun with this QP.

This Sunday starts Fall Daylight Savings time, so don't forget to set all your clocks back before you go to bed tomorrow night.  It's also a good idea to change the batteries in all your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

I'm watching the Weather Channel, and it's not looking so good in Texas.  This year, Texas just isn't getting a break in all the bad weather.  On top of all the rain and flooding, they are now dealing with tornadoes and even more flooding.  The weather patterns are getting quite scary these days, and it looks like they may be here to stay.  Let's all pray that all the people and animals will be safe.

Pogo and I have to go to do a couple of errands this morning, and later Joe and I will do some grocery shopping.  So it's time for me to get busy around here.  Before I go, here is my Halloween Greeting card for all of you.

So, till Sunday, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous weekend and a "Spooky" Halloween.  To all my Witchy friends, Happy New Year and Merry Be.

Hugs, Edna B.

We started out with a little sun, but now it's all gray.

I started my Christmas shopping last night. The wonders of technology! While David and I were talking about an item, just before bedtime, I ordered it on my tablet. ehehe... One of his gifts last year was ordered the same way when were were chasing trains.:)

But I do agree with you; there's a big difference between buying slowly to spread out expenses yourself and being barraged with "spend, spend, spend" every time you walk into a store after Halloween. I want to be able to buy something, anything, really, with a turkey on it!

I love the scared skeleton! Thank you for another fun QP! I'll be looking for you an Pogo tomorrow! Happy Halloween!

Fly safe!
Hugs, Nani

I love the image of you and Pogo flying on the broom - very cute. Have a fun and safe Halloween. We don't get any trick or treaters in campgrounds, so haven't had to share any of my candy for a long time. Hmm...perhaps I should stop buying it and having it around the house. Oh no...that would never do.
We'll be flying lower than you tomorrow as we move further south to Okeechobee.
Take care and remember never to text and fly!

It's about the same here in the shps. You know we first have, although less, Halloween stuff in the shops, then comes start December the big holiday for specially the kids, but also for adults, Sinterklaas and then there is Christmas.
Imagine there was already the Sinterklaascandy in the supermarket and several stores in August!!!
And yes, Christmasstuff already starts to show up, even two weeks ago here and there.
It is scary to see and hear about all the nature disasters, and in so many different places at the same time.

Love your quickpage, it is freat fun.

Try to catch a little nap before you go broom-riding tonight(here it is Saturday-morning now LOL). I think we will have a fairly cloudless night, so we will be able to see you and Pogo.
Have a safe flight, dear!

Good Morning!
Are you rested from your trip yet? Hope the weather cooperated with you, we were a little cloudy, but not rain and I thought I saw you and Pogo, I waved even if it wasn't....I fell asleep to the TV and woke about 2 a.m. to shut it off (just as the time was changing)...awoke way too early this morning! Will take a few days to get me and the fur babies adjusted...but...we will. Today I must change all my batteries in the smoke detectors,etc....! We are to have some more scattered showers today, not a lot of rain they say....but, we've had 6 deaths from this last bought of rain, floods and tornadoes...time to stop for awhile again, at least the temps are nice. Thanks for all the lovely Halloween pages...hope you and Pogo have a lovely Sunday, now I must get my breakfast and the kitchen cleaned (all the rest is done since I got up so early) so that I can watch NASCAR and then football for the rest of the day! Yes, I know, I am such a couch potato on Sundays...ROFL! Hugs to both, Mat
