Good morning. The sun is shining, but it is still a bit too nippy for me. Today is Ground Hog Day, and Punxsutawney Phil has seen his shadow, which means six more weeks of cold weather. However, on Staten Island, Chuck has an 80% rating among prognosticating rodents and says that we will see an early Spring. In the North, in Nova Scotia, Shubencadie Sam concurred with Chuck.
Hmmm, who shall we listen to? Phil? Or Chuck and Sam? Myself, I'm leaning toward Chuck and Sam. Well of course I would. Spring is my favorite season of the year. The days get warmer and all things beautiful begin growing again in the gardens.
Yesterday, one of the dwarfs shoveled a path from my doorsteps to my car and cleaned off my car for me so that I could go pay my taxes. Thanks James, I really appreciated your help. I made it to the Town Hall and while I was there I picked up Pogo's new doggie license.
On the way home, I decided that I would pick up a few groceries and my meds while I was out. At the pharmacy, I once again ran into a pack of problems trying to pick up my meds. I guess when you change insurance companes, you have to get prior approval for all your meds all over again before they will cover them.
After last week's problem with having my meds filled, I had a long chat with the insurance company and I thought that everything was taken care of. The insurance company even called me this week to say that all was settled and that I could go to the pharmacy and pick up the rest of my meds. It took me a while, but finally the pharmacy agreed to fill all my meds.
So now all is well again, right? Not quite. When I got home, I noticed that one of the meds was only filled to last for 25 days, not 90 like it should have been. Oh no, back to phone again to call the pharmacy. After a long conversation, the pharmacist finally said that she would call the doctor and explain that he had written the prescription wrong and ask him to fix it. (Better her than me) Cross your fingers and toes that they both finally come to a satisfactory agreement.
Later in the afternoon, daughter Deanne came by after work. While she was here, she went out to the shed to dig out my walker. I told her that I would use this while walking around in the yard so that I don't fall again. This makes Pogo happy too because the more time I spend out in the yard means more time for him to be out in the yard too.
Enough of my babble. How about a new quick page. This one is fun and recalls happy days at a local carnival.

Hi Edna,
Oh Pasta, that is what we are having for tonight as well. I can't wait for spring! I can just taste those wonderful fresh herbs in my pasta sauce! Oh and we will definitely be listening to Chuck and Sam. We want to banish the freezing temps and snow so we can enjoy the beauty of Spring.
Edna if everything goes according to plan then 4 weeks from today I will be on a plane headed your way! I have been looking forward to this for weeks now and I know that you have been looking forward to it for months. Probably since the day that you left, the countdown started again!
I usually leave some bones in the original box for Cisco so when I am running low I know. I guess that Matt must have put them in the treat jar when he was home because the box was empty last night. Now why put an empty box back in the closet?
I have some lunch going into the oven now and it is super easy today. Jonathan bought me frozen chicken pot pies! I consider those a treat. I rarely get them so I am looking forward to having them today.
I will talk to you soon. Thank you for the QP. I have a carnival kit that I need to use so this is perfect. Give my boy lots of hugs and cuddles. Cisco is doing much better so he is a happy boy this morning. Hugs, Beth and Cisco... xx
