Good morning. Tis early and I've been up for a while. I woke up around three this morning, and could not get back to sleep. So I got up, made some coffee and breakfast. Pogo doesn't want his food just yet so I've put it in the fridge.
Today is supposed to be really warm (in the fifties) and tomorrow we're supposed to have a wicked snow storm so I guess I'd better do a bit of grocery shopping this morning. I don't really need much, just milk and a few other things, but I don't know when I'll get out again so I'll do it today.
I had a couple questions regarding where the health gadgets that I mentioned yesterday can be found. I would guess that most pharmacies or Walmarts carry them. However, I found them both on Amazon. The pulse oximeter cost starts at around $14 and up. The cost of the wrist blood pressure monitor averages between $20 and $25. These prices are on Amazon.
The new hat that I'm working on (to match the Flamingo scarf) is more than half done and is quite pretty. I took a photo of the orchid set before I put it in a zip lock baggie. It fits perfectly in the gallon size.
When I was picking up food for Pogo this week, I found a couple other choices from Blue Buffalo that I thought he might like and I bought a couple of them. Needless to say, "when will I ever learn?" Obviously, Pogo was not very happy about this and refused to eat them. I'm not going to complain though because I'm happy that he's finally eating doggie food.
Gosh, I think I need to do some laundry later today. I haven't done any in a while and now I'm running out of things. Even Pogo has a pretty good sized bundle of shirts and sweaters that need to be washed. Actually, I have a lot to do before Pogo and I leave for Florida, and time just seems to keep flying by before I get anything done.
I have purposely not been posting about a lot of news items because I get so upset about all the stupidity and lawlessness that is running rampant in this country and I don't want to post any of that crap on my blog. I've even cut back on the amount of time I spend checking out stuff posted on Facebook.
I can ignore a lot of the hateful posts, but when I see people that I know posting a lot of it, that really hurts. We are all entitle to our own beliefs, but to be constantly spewing hatred is just not right and it makes me very uncomfortable. So if you notice that I don't ever comment on remarks that some folks may have made public, please understand why.
Now I need to make a grocery list, and maybe do a couple things around here before I go to the market. Today I also need to reorganize the shelves where I store all my pots and pans. They seem to be getting a bit crowded. I'm hoping to get a bunch of energy once the sun is shining. Hmmm, it's not shining yet, but I have hope that it will be soon.
So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

You and I both feel the same on this rant that is going on in our country. I have enough problems of my own dealing with health issues. Most of them that is complaining didn't vote anyway. People are very mean spirited and like to share their chaos with the world. I stay behind the door, take care of what I need to take care of outside the door and right back in. My fur babies keep me smiling and having plenty to do. My hand I had surgery on has its bad days. The swelling is still coming and going. The pain is a lot better but I think the steroid injection have crippled the middle finger because it is not functioning. I take this with a smile as much as I can. I am having the same problem with the doggie food. Walmart has a small refrigerator in the doggie food section and they have food that look and smell like sausage. They loved it but I bought the small roll to see if they would like it and it did work. I will pick up the larger one on Friday when I do my shopping and banking. I wait for the weekend sales and go before the working people are off and crowding the store.....Have a great Wednesday.
Edna,
What a beautiful scarf and hat set. Your right, that color is just beautiful. Karyn hasn't had time for me to teach her how to do anything crocheting related but she loves how her afghan is turning out.
Cisco is not eating this morning. Nathan made some soup and a grilled cheese sandwich so he is hoping for a bite! Not that he will get one from Nathan. But he might get a bite of my mac and cheese for lunch today.
They moved my son Matthew to a new crew working down on the border of Arizona and Mexico border called Nogales. So much crime down there that it has me a bit worried because of all the crime. I told him to stay in groups with his crew and not go anywhere alone. I am not sure how long he will be there but he is flying home for his time off on the 19th for a week. He will fly back out on the 26th.
My son in law stayed with me most of the day yesterday as I wasn't feeling well. I think that if I could get some real sleep I would feel much better and get these teeth out. I will know more on the 24th.
I will let you go. Please give my baby Pogo love from Cisco and I... Hugs, Beth
