A New England Weather Type Day

September 29, 2015

Good morning.  Tis another glorious day here in my little part of New England.  If you live in this part of the country, enjoy it,  The rain is supposed to start here tonight and last through next weekend.  The new storm coming up the coast may even prolong the rainy spell.

Oh dear, I have to go out at least twice in this weather.  Tomorrow I have a doctor appointment (check up) and the next day there is the food shopping.   The temperatures will be much lower too: fifteen to twenty degrees cooler.  Ah well, it is what it is.

Today is day #2 of my celebration week, and here is your freebie #2.  I hope you can use it.

And here is your download link:

Yesterday, I got a nice spurt of energy and decided to clear up some of the papers and odds and ends that have been gathering on my coffee table, where I keep my laptop.  I spent almost two hours going through, and cleaning up - now don't laugh! - one messy pile of stuff.

You have to understand, this time included copying some information on scraps of paper over to where it should have been put in the first place.  I even managed to throw out a few items from this pile of stuff.  Mind you, just a few.  The sad part is that I was so engrossed in cleaning up this messy pile, that I totally forget about doing the laundry.  I'll have to do that today.

Today I also have to make a new list of my medications to take with me tomorrow when I see my doctor for a regular check up.  I'm not sure why he needs this list.  All this information is in his computer system.

I just went outside to put a bill in the mailbox, and guess what?  Everything is wet!  I guess we won't have to wait until tonight for the rain to begin.   Ah well, you know they say.  Here in New England, if you don't like the weather just wait a little bit and it will change.  (now the sun is coming out too!)

On a more serious note, I found this image on the web.  The orange ribbon stands for being against animal cruelty.  Folks, our animals are so very precious.  Please stand up to help stop the cruelty and unthinkable abuse that some of them are enduring every single day.  I thank you, and our animals thank you.

Well, there's not much more news for today, and I really should get busy and start the laundry.   Before I go, here's a brain teaser puzzle for you. (found on the web)   Have fun!

I'm off now to get this new day started.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I totally blame Kelly for my slipping behind on my reading and commenting this week! It’s hard to spend as much time as usual on the computer when your best fiend is visiting. :)

The ceramic doll you made so long ago is wonderful. She has beautiful eyes!

David found peanuts packaged like those Red Sox peanuts too! Only the ones he found were Cincinnati Reds and he got a bag for me. (If he’d found Red Sox ones he’d have bought them for himself!) Peanuts just taste better when they are in baseball packages or bought at a baseball game; that’s just how it is.

When I go through my old photo albums I always make a point of scanning the polaroids too. I agree that although the technology of being able to see a picture minutes after you take it was amazing (My phone that takes pictures and immediately shares them with my computer is laughing at that comment) the shelf life of the “instant-developed” photos wasn’t great.

I got such a chuckle out of Pogo and the freshly folded blankets! Kaline does that, cuddling into folded clothes after “fixing them.” When she first moved to Toledo she’d climb into the underwear and socks drawer that David had a bad habit of leaving open half-way. She’d throw half the contents on the floor so she could scrunch up and curl into the rest.

2600 blog posts is, it’s just wow! Isn’t this a great cyber-neighborhood? I’m so blessed that you started blogging and have kept going! Through blog posts, occasional phone chats and 50-page emails we all enjoy the good cups of coffee that make great friendship. Okay, maybe I’m the guilty one for emails that are bigger than some Kindle short stories. (innocent look) I had a friend email me back that I should look for a writing job. I still haven’t figured out if that was a compliment or a complaint. lol

Your celebration QPs re beautiful! I grabbed them both. I already have some ideas for the pumpkin one from yesterday.

I have to take a pass on the the brain puzzle today because I’d already seen it. ;)

Did the tests come out good for Kevin and the pneumonia? I hope everything is okay. College is a great place to be exposed to new experiences…and new germs!

I’m glad I got to have a long coffee with you today, Edna! :D I’m up to date now.

Have a fabulous day!

Hugs, Nani

Oh we have such a little pile too on our dinner table LOL! And it's cleaned up every now and then and then it shrinks for a while and then it starts over again. But it's just a good spot for some things, so it probably will stay there.
Hmmm, Brodski just came into the room, jumped on the back of a chair, and then very cautiously and slow took a lying position on it. It sometimes happens that he falls asleep and then we hear a "bang"and he fell down LOL! Till now without consequences for him.
Hope you will be able to go out when it still is dry and you will not have too heavy storms in the days to come.
Another beautiful day we have here, so we must do something with it. yesterday Jan put a new layer of varnish on our front door, which really needed that. Now it's looking beautiful again and it will be protected during bad weather.
I was rather busy yesterday too, did a laundry, did some ironing, changed the bedsheets and even did a quick grocerie shopping, so I felt good about myself LOL!
well, time for some more blog-reading and such before get busy here.
Have a lovely day,
Hug
Kyra
