Brrrrr! Gosh, it's cold here. Good morning. Well, the snow finally stopped last evening, and I'm cringing at the thought of more snow coming this week. I don't know what the official count is of how much snow we got, but in my yard we got at least another 12 to 18 inches. Add that to the 23 inches we got from "Linus" and I for one am getting tired of the snow.
SIL Eddie had his knee replacement surgery yesterday, and the doctor said that all went well. He said that in a few months Eddie will feel like a new man. Eddie's knee was pretty bad; bone on bone and very painful. Eddie, I hope your recovery goes quickly and well.
Deanne and Kevin are on their way into Boston to see a specialist. Kevin, I hope this doctor can figure out what is wrong and how to fix it. I am so relieved that an Uber driver is driving them to Boston and home again later today. I was stressing out about Deanne having to drive into Boston on these wicked icy roads. She is a good driver, but I don't trust the other drivers on the road.
I took a few photos of the snow yesterday morning. This is what the street looks like in front of my house. This is the main street through town. Imagine what the side streets look like!
Next, I have a photo showing what it looked like outside our kitchen window before the snow got too deep. Aside from the fact that it is cold and making life miserable for so many, it is rather pretty.
The tall rose bush right outside my door is really quite beautiful when it is covered with snow. This is one branch tip that I thought was quite pretty.
We got a fuel oil delivery yesterday. God bless those truck drivers for coming out in all kinds of wicked weather. Our oil tank was down to the quarter full mark, and I get nervous when it gets that low in this cold weather. So now we are all set again for a while.
I seem to be neglecting my crocheting lately. I do work on it a bit most nights, but not enough to get anything finished. By the end of the day, I've been tired. So I tend to put the light out early and go to sleep.
Boy, I am so glad that I bought myself that new toaster. Now I can enjoy english muffins and toast for breakfast. When there is little or no counter space in the kitchen, there is no room for a toaster. Since I moved things around in the kitchen, I've made a spot for the new toaster.
And now I'm going to eat my muffins and drink my coffee. So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay warm and have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Edna B.

The snow is pretty, it is just a pain to deal with on long stretches and to have it back to back is tiresome.
Good news about your SIL's knee surgery and I really hope that the trip to Boston goes well for Kevin and they find a solution or treatment to help him. Great news that they were able to get a driver. Especially with all the snow.
Beautiful pics this morning. I really like the rosebush tip. Have a great day! Hugs.
That is a lot of snow to deal with. Yuck. I hope Eddie's knee heals quickly, it's amazing how many people I've met that have had knee replacements.
How pretty the snow may look, I understand you are done with it now. Gosh, you really have some bad winter weather.
Happy to hear Eddy's surgery went well.
Must be frustrating though for Kevin and family, that they still don;t know what is wrong with him. But I thought he was better already?
Cross fingers that they will figure it out and will come up with a solution in hospital!
You stay safe as much as possible inside.
Have a nice day

We had a nice day today. Lots of melting snow, not to rub it in! We hear high temps thru the weekend but snow in the forecast for Wednesday next week! I hope things go well for Eddie and Kevin. I'm hearing another cyber attack and even the CEO at Anthem Health Ins. got hacked! What is wrong with our world? Crazy stuff goes on daily! Hope you and Pogo are warm and safe indoors. Hugs!
