Winter Is Quickly Approaching

Good morning.  I just poked my head out the door to get my morning paper which isn't here yet, and was greeted by a bit of damp, cool air.  I'm not complaining though, because Winter starts in about a week and a half, and it's still pretty mild weather so far. 

This morning, I have to take my trusty laptop to the repair shop to have the DVD drive fixed or replaced.  The little bugger just got real sticky and stopped working a few nights ago.   This comes at a bad time because I wanted to get started on my "learning" discs.  So maybe this is life's way of telling me to finish the projects at hand before I take on another.

Last night, I tried to get more photos of the full moon.  I did not feel like driving anywhere, so I did my best from outside in my yard.  There were a lot of light clouds and the moon had quite a glow around it.  Here are my best shots.

I have to keep walking around the yard to differrent spots to try to get a shot without tree branches in it.  My trees though, are quite tall so this is not often possible.  

Yesterday at work, I asked my boss to check out a new little mole that had just popped up on my back.  It was quite itchy and I was thinking that I might need to have the doctor check it out.  She took a look, and you won't guess what she found.  A tick!  She removed it, then cleaned and dressed the wound.  I guess the warm weather brought back all the ticks.

That's it for the morning news.  Now I need to make some breakfast and get dressed.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.
