I Finally Did It!!

June 18, 2011

Ah, good morning.  And a lovely morning it is!!  Sometime today, Tootsie and I are going to hop into the car and head for water.  Oh wow, I can almost smell the salt water breeze.  Only this time, we are taking some food with us.  When we went to Nantasket Beach the other day, my mouth was watering for a hot dog in a roll with all  the fixings, but alas there were none when we got there.

Have you noticed anything different yet about the appearance of my blog?  No?  Check out the new avatar.  On my way home from work yesterday, I walked into a hair salon and said" Cut it all off!"  They did, and my braid was placed in an envelope to be sent in to Locks Of Love to make wigs for cancer patients.  I swear, I feel 10 pounds lighter!!

This is something I've been wanting to do for quite a while now.  I just haven't had the guts.  It's takes a long time for my hair to grow long enough to cut off a 14 inch braid.  I'm left with tiny little curls that only go where they want to go.  Of course, now my gray shows up even more!

For today, I have a few photos of the waves breaking against the sea wall rocks.  I just thought that they would be nice and cool to look at on such a lovely warm day.  These were taken one right after the other.  You can even see bits of sea weed in the watery froth.  Pretty cool!!

Now I'm off to check the laundry.  Got a few things still to do before we hop in the car and go!   Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Wow, you look 10 years younger and thinner!...I wish I had a braid to cut off. What a great organization to help. Where did all that natural curl come from? Looks like more plastic and titanium in my near future. Won't know when until the end of July. Great sea photos.

WOW EDNA!!!! you finally did it??? Almost cannot believe it!!! You did cut your hair. Congrats girl!!! And what a wonderful idea to give it to this organazation.
The new hair cut does look good on you. Keep it that way.
And I am jealous of you, cause you have so many curls of yourself in your hair!!! Mine is straight as a lantern pole LOL!

Just LOVE the little baby squirl! Isn't he sweet as sugar, with it's big brown eyes???

And now you're off to the sesaide. Yeah, take some food with you, may be yoll find something there too, like the hot dog but now you;re sure not to starve LOL.
Have a fantastic day at the beach.
Hugs

Way to go. It's been a long time goal of mine to be able to do the locks of love donation. I keep growing it out but it will take a while to get there. Of course, I have to pay for my curls...you are so lucky!

You look so nice! I love it! I'm tempted to follow suit, but, I dunno. I'm posting the last parts and then back to bed. Today isn't one of my better days - damn it! I have so much I want to do!
Hugs and love,

Su

I agree with Mary Ann, your hair cut does make you look so much younger. Congrats on giving your braid to Locks of Love....a great organisation.

Love your photos of the waves crashing onto the rocks.
