Good morning. Tis a bit gray and damp here today, but that's okay. We need a little rain for the plants and lawns. Speaking of plants, one of the Dahlias is getting ready to bloom. Here are a couple photos that I've taken so far.
Well, Deanne and I went to the shooting range Friday morning and had a great time shooting zombies. That's zombie targets. Deanne did really well. I didn't do so bad either considering my arm isn't quite up to snuff and it's been months since we have been at the range. Here are my zombie target sheets.
Friday afternoon, Pogo and I went shopping at JoAnn's Fabric store. After looking at all the beautiful things that were on sale, we ended up buying some ribbons for the dolly dresses. As soon as the new dolly bodies get here (maybe by next week) I'll be able to finish up all the air freshener dolls and take photos.
I've been asked to post a pattern for the neck scarf that I made last winter, so as soon as I can, I'll post it on the patterns page. If there are any other patterns that anyone wants, do let me know and I'll try to post them on that page also.
I've also been asked for more of the gem quick pages. I'll be working on them soon. If you want any gem in particular let me know. So far I have requests for Opal and Sapphire. Eventually, I really should try to do all the gems.
Friday night, I started a new hat and scarf set in one of Red Heart's new yarns (Stonewash). I finished it yesterday and started another set in another new color (Almondine). I'll take photos when I finish this last set.
My shoulder doesn't hurt so much anymore. I've been taking lots of breaks when I'm crocheting or anything else that I use that arm for. This is good because I wasn't looking forward to getting another shot.
My friend Beth tells me that Austin has a shelter that is taking in a lot of the rescued pets from Hurricane Harvey. She and one of her sons has already been donating food, treats and toys to this shelter. I like to know that my money goes directly to helping the animals so I've decided to send a check to Beth. She and her son will go shopping for more food, treats and toys for cats and dogs and drop them off at the shelter. This makes my heart feel good.
Today I have a new quick page for you. This one is rather whimsical. Have fun with it.

Now I'm off to make a fresh cup of coffee and do a bit of blog reading. So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Hello Edna, and Hello to Pogo too!
It is really humid outside. It is already getting hot but the nights are cooling off. So pleased to be able to feel the crisp air at night.
Thank you for your QP. I love it. I wish I had some photos of my sisters latest trip to Mexico but they haven't posted many yet that I can use. Maybe I will just use an old one. The thing is that I am not sure where they are lol.
Cisco sends a big hello to you both. I asked him if he wanted a bone from Pogo and Edna and he sat down and put his paw up. So I gave him one before breakfast as we slept in late. I had some kind of restless night last night. I was itching all over so I took some Benadryl and fell right to sleep but slept in late. I only got up to test my sugar and eat a bit this morning and then went back to bed.
I loved the fact that you and Deedee killed Zombies... That was too cute.. and it is really awesome that you could KILL them. You did fantastic Edna considering your arm and shoulder. You will have more and more fun as time goes by. I showed my sons and Jonathan said... Oh I want to kill Zombies... Nathan said... This is your friend you went to see in Florida and I said Yes and he said Damn she's Good! So there you have it Miss Edna!
Pogo and Cisco said that if they were there they would have barked very ferociously and scared them away. I know this because last night while you were sleeping Pogo called Cisco!!!! LOL
I love all of your crocheting projects. I think that your projects are so fun! You have a great creative mind and talent. I am doing some crocheting today. At least finish up the last skein that I have for Karyn's afghan. Probably 2 rows of yarn left. I don't think that she is in any hurry to finish getting me the rest of the yarn which is sad because I could have had it finished already.
I will let you go for now... Hugs and you two have a great day xx Beth and Cisco
