Good morning from soggy New England. Yup, the rain caught up with us. It has been raining all through the night, and I guess it will be here for a while. At least, it is not a heavy rain (at the moment).
Today is Veterans Day. A day to honor all the men and women who have given (and are giving) so much to keep us and our beautiful country free. Please remember to honor all of our military dogs too.
Let's try to stop all the hate mongering around the country, and remember why it is that we all want to live here and who made it possible for us. This is The United States of America. Everyone here should respect our flag and honor our military persons.
I love these images that I have borrowed from the web, and enjoy sharing them with you. A lot of my family and friends have served in the military. I am ever so thankful for all of them.
I have more good news for this morning. IT'S A GIRL!!! The first of the two new babies expected has arrived. She was born sometime early this morning. I don't have any other news of her particulars yet, but I'll try to have that info tomorrow. My goodness, one down and one to go.
My next piece of news isn't so good. My right eye has been bothering me for a few days, and during the night it really flared up. It's been red and weepy and crusty. YUK! I called my doctor's office a little while ago, and I'm waiting for a call back. It sounds like I have "pink eye."
How does this happen? When the nurse calls me back, I'll have to ask her. What I do know is that I am contagious and will not be able to go see the new baby. Now that's a bummer!! DIL Janet is supposed to be coming by later this afternoon after work. I'll have to ask if this is okay too. I would order take out so that I would not have to touch any of the food she would be eating.
I dug out an old photo from my archives. When I had my ceramic store (in the 80's and 90's) we loved decorating our windows. Especially for military holidays. All the "Smileys" were made by our staff and students. For those of you not familiar with "Smileys", they are cute figurines of all different occupations. This is a photo of one of my storefront windows.
I don't have much more news, and before I go let me post a QP freebie for you. This is soft and pink, and I hope you can use it.
Here is your download link:
Now I'm going to go wait for the doctor's office to call. So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Happy Veterans Day. this page sure is pretty! thanks so much! oh you poor thing. I had pink eye multiple times in high school - thanks goodness those days are over. the good thing is once you get the drops, it should heal up quick, so you can go see that wonderful baby girl.
Oh, that isnt nice to have, the infection. Hopefully you will have an appointment at the doctor's soon. Such a pity, that you cannot visit the new born now.
We had quite an evenijg yesterday. Perhaps I will post about it later today, otherwise probably tomorrow, but in short: we had another leak from the nieghours upstairs, but this time in the living room at the back.
We didn;t have a good evening, leak has been stopped, hope it will not come back.
It isn;t dripping anymore, thank goodness.
Well, let's hope they will pay more attention to all the waterpipes and such.
I am really fed up with them!
Looks to be a rather nice day today, good to do some things and try not to pay too much attention to all the bangs and more coming from the appartment above us(they are kind of renovating???).
Cross finger for us that we will stay dry.
Have a lovely day, although you have the trouble with your eye.
Hug
Kyra
