Cooler Temps Are Back

November 29, 2015

Good morning.  The cooler temps are back.  It is 31F degrees at the moment, and it might get up to about 42 degrees later today.  The weather these last few days has been awesome so I can't really complain.

Yesterday, I got up around 7 a.m. (same as today) and just lazed about.  Hmmm, not exactly the neatest thing I do, but I do it well!!   Actually, other than a couple of phone calls, I spent most of the day playing on my laptop.   I love jigsaw puzzles, and I have hundreds of them on my laptop.  So it's easy for the hours to slip away while I'm doing puzzles.

I have a photo of the completed baby cocoon set to share.  It is so darn cute!!   This one will go to baby Ali.  I can't wait to see a photo of her in it.

Next, I will have to pick up a pretty green yarn, (probably Spring Green or a pretty variegated green) to start another set for the next GGbaby.  (due in March)  Her mom's favorite color is green, so voila!  Maybe I'll use the pink yarn to make another blanket.

I have another photo to share with you.  This photo was taken by my friend Mary Ann's hubby, and it took a ribbon in their local camera club competition.   This is a white deer surrounded by Aspens.  It's an awesome photo, Gene.  Thanks for letting me share it.

None of the packages I'm waiting for have arrived yet, so today I'll probably try to get the rest of the envelopes for my cards addressed.  This week coming up is usually when I mail them out.  Hopefully, I can start mailing out my mailer boxes by the end of the week.

This week I want to get out the Christmas decorations and put up our trees.  Something tells me that these next four weeks are going to fly right by.  Before we know it 2016 will be here.

Today Joe is going to clean out the birdbath and plug it in.  I've noticed that some of the puddles have been freezing lately.  Obviously, this means that the birdie water will freeze too.  I did not have any luck with the local roofing contractors to get the heated lines put on my roof, so I hope we don't get any wicked huge icicles this year.

There's not much news for today, so I think I'll just make me a new cup of coffee and get started on those envelopes.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,

What a beautiful cocoon for baby Ali. She will be so adorable in it! You have such talent.
My computer crashed this morning installing a new update. It took about 2 hours to reboot. I need a new computer. This one is really showing it's age. In reality it is only 3 years old. In computer age however, my son says it is already a dinosaur.
My son Matthew flies back to Wisconsin tonight and he will not get there until near midnight and then will have to drive all the way to Minnesota and then back to Omaha Nebraska. This week has really flown by fast. My heart is just so sad to see him leave again.
Jonathan is sick with a wicked cold. I have been adding bleach to the dishwasher and staying in my room doing nothing but watching movies. I am sick of my room and sick of movies. But I am trying really hard not to get that sick bug.
Going on over to my blog and post while I have a chance. I want to spend the rest of the afternoon with Matthew before he has to leave. Hugs, Beth and Cisco.

I love the baby cocoon. it's so adorable! the little hat is soooo tiny! beautiful photo too. I took out half Christmas boxes, will try and grab the rest later tonight. I have a ton and I mean a ton of decorations. I love Christmas, well the holiday season really! I used to be able to do all the boxes at one time, but as I get older, I need a break, my back can only do so much, and as my husband is injured he can't help. I did hang up my wreath though. it looks so pretty. we'll get our tree next weekend, so I want to have most of the decorations inside and out done by then. I need to replace some lights on our standing lamp post that goes outside, then I'll do the rest of the yard.

Baby Ali will look so cute wearing that cocoon.
That photo of the white deer is so special.
I think you are right saying that the next 4 weeks will fly by and before we know it we will be 2016 already.
We had some bad weather yesterday, although in our area we still were lucky. Other part of Holland had storm with winds of about 9Bft and lots of rain.
But today will be better already and this week it will calm down again. Temperatures are still rather nice, around 11-12C at daytime.
I had a lazy day yesterday too, and that was nice. I'll see what i will do today. I have several options, may be I will end up doing none of them all LOL!
Have a lovely day.
Hug

I really love that baby cocoon. I wish I had your talent. I've been thinking of trying to get a hold of the 106-year-old lady who makes quilts in North Dakota. I try to get a few of the quilters that I know to help me by pitching in and making a quilt for little baby Mayah but everyone is so busy with the holidays. The only baby afghans that I have belong to each one of my children so I don't think it would be fair to take their personal property and give it away. These are the days I miss my aunties who were all so talented with the knitting needles, crocheting needles! My father's mother even used to make cute little crocheted dresses for the kewpie the holes. I have fallen Tucked away and she is a real delight to me. A new great grandbaby and your family, what a blessed event. Let me keep checking your posts and I'll be leaving more comments you have a wonderful evening and stay safe and warm.
