Feed Me Mommy, Feed Me.

September 9, 2015

Good morning   Pogo and I have been up since 7:30 a.m.  My little guy woke me up, hopping and barking "Mama I'm hungry!"   So Mama trundled out to the kitchen and made him some breakfast.  I must say, I may not be the world's best housekeeper, but I'm a fantabulous doggy mama.  Woof!  Woof!

Well, yesterday the pest remover guys were here, and now it is just a waiting game to see how long it takes to catch Mr. Fat Rat.   Joe got home from work while these guys were here, and they explained to him what they had done and where everything was.  They said if we smell something wicked bad, to give them a call.  That will mean that the fat rat is caught.

The pest guys also treated all around the house for ants.  I seem to have an abundance of ants in all sizes.  They came early this year and never left.  Well, sorry ants, you have to go too.

This morning I spent some time on the laptop making this week's freebie QP.  Sad to say, I get busy with other projects and I forget how much fun it is making these QP's.  Today's QP might be good for a photo of a special man in your life.  I hope you can use it.

I feel rather bad for all the kids who started back to school in the midst of these wicked heat waves that we're having all across the country.  According to the news, some school districts shortened the school days temporarily so that the kids could go home before the heat got too oppressive.  It's usually quite warm at the beginning and the end of the typical school year.  So, I'm wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea for schools to install air conditioning systems.  Hmmm?

Today, I'm hoping the mail carrier brings me a box containing the pressure cooker that I ordered a while ago.  For some reason, this package is stopping in each state along the way for an overnight visit.  I'm so anxious to try cooking in this new cooker.

I'm not sure why I'm looking forward to all this fancy cooking.  I wasn't interested in these wondrous cooking machines when I had a house full of family to cook for.  Now there is just me and Pogo.  Go figure!   Hmmm, old age brings all sorts of surprises!!

Today I have another of those interesting flower images to share with you.  (Image borrowed from web)   This one is an orchid that looks like a ballerina.  (Caladenia melanema)  I wonder, are we copying the flowers?  Or are the flowers copying us?

Well that's all the news for this morning.  Now I'm going to get a nice cold bottle of water and catch up on my morning blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay cool and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

this quickpage is so gorgeous! thanks so much! I always love seeing these unique flowers! Most of our school's here in Vegas are air conditioned. they have to be - we're still over 103. I'm so done with it! I'm so glad you're an awesome doggy mom, that is way more important than being a good house cleaner (not good english, but you get my meaning)LOL.

Let's see how long it will take for the rat to be caught. Sometimes those creatures are pretty smart, you know.
And good thing the ants have to find another place for living, OL.
I was off the computer yesterday, was in town center rather early to spend a little bit of money for some winterclothes, yeah. I got a letter from the taxoffice with the message I get some money back, whooooo. Now I just spent some thenth's of euro's, still found some lovely sweathers and also one for Jan. I found a store where they really have interesting things for low budget.
And I just took my time, as there was so little people in the shops in the morning, to just do some shop-touring, not buying, just looking. Saw a couple of interesting things, also found a great shop with thousands of things in all categories(kitchen, bathroom, do it yourself stuff, etc.). Good shop for some Christmas presents I think.
well, have to leave you because Jan and I have an appointment, and as it is nice weather, we can walk to it and back also, to profit from the sun.
Have a wonderful day, stay cool.
Hugs
