Good morning. Well, the sun is finally shining. It's cold, but it's not snowing so that helps. Today we have to clean up as much of yesterday's snow as possible. We are on blizzard watch for 7 pm
Monday until 1 am Wednesday. There is a lot more snow on its way. Storm Juno is promising to dump a bundle of the white stuff on New England.
I thought I might share this photo of a snow storm that we had in January a few years ago. My brother Artie was outside shoveling out the driveway, and in most places the snow was up to his hips.
The weatherman is being very scary this morning. He is saying that "Juno" could bring us "feet" of snow, not "inches". One good thing, I had the dates wrong for when Eddie and Kevin had to be in Boston for medical reasons. They do not go this week, they go next week. Whew! I'm hoping that by then most of the snow and ice will be gone.
Yesterday we all woke up to fat snow flakes falling, and already more than four inches of snow covering everything. During the day we got a couple more inches. Of course, this was to be the day that the snow blower would break a shear pin when Joe was trying to move all the snow. The snow blower had to go back to the shed and out came the shovels.
I ordered new pins from the Hardware Store, and a couple of the dwarfs helped Joe with the shoveling. In this photo, the driveway (which is huge) is done and now they are clearing the entrance area by the street.
All the activity outside kept Pogo quite busy watching from the door. Until Joe threw a little snowball at the door and scared Pogo away. I'll need to have a chat with Joe about that. Pogo is tiny and so many things are quite scary to him. He should not have to be afraid of Joe or looking out his door. I love the reflections in these photos of my little guy.
I have a photo to share of dwarf Mike having some fun in the snow yesterday. He had just made a snowball and was busy getting ready to throw it at Joe. (He says to tell everyone that he is available.)
I do have "word" photos for the last couple of days, but I'll post them tomorrow. This afternoon I'm going to try to set up a second page here on the blog for project photos, etc. The magic word is "try". I'll even see if I can figure out how to set up an upload link. Hmmmm, that should keep me busy for a while.
Now I'm going to enjoy a cup of coffee and do a bit of blog reading. So till tomorrow, Y'all stay warm and have a fabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

I have to admit there is a special magic to the sight of big fat snowflakes drifting downward.
I love Pogo's little cable knit sweater, he is definitely the best dressed dog out there.
To use your great word, I think a second page for the Project 365 photos prompts is a fantabulous idea! In fact, I think I might do an extra page for my weekly scrapbook pages too.
I really enjoyed the walk down memory lane from Friday. It reminded me of the chats I used to have when I went to my great-grandmother's house for coffee. She remembered when there weren't cars and then a man walked on the moon. She remembered that women couldn't vote when she was a kid and watched that grow to women in government and I just know there will be a woman president in my lifetime and I'll think of Mums that night she's elected. Those wonderful memories of progress, that I'm old enough to see now too, always make me feel warm and fuzzy. :)
The reflection pics of Pogo are so sweet! And I think Joe won't be throwing anymore snowballs near him. I have a very strong sense that messing with Pogo is a good way to get you to be pretty scary in reaction.
I'll be keeping a close watch on your blog over the next few days, no missing a day and catching up! We're expecting the light stuff from the current storm. David was telling me how much the New England and Metro New York areas were expecting! I mentioned to him the photos in years past of the tons of snow and the "there are cars under there" snowfalls. < shudder > Be careful, stay warm and I pray the electric stays running!!
We've had flurries hit and miss all day. It was big billowy flakes earlier but right now it misty windy stuff coming off the roofs. Makes me want another cup of coffee.
On that note give Pogo a scritch. I hope he enjoys watching the snow from inside!!
Hugs, Nani
The weather news your way sounds scary. I'm glad you have the dwarfs around to help you.
You litle matchmaker, you, hah.
Saw just this morning on the news that in your area they expect a snowstorm! With LOADS of snow! I hope you have enough groceries and anything in the house so you can hold out for a couple of days! So you can stay in and let it pass. Don't get me wrong, for a few hours it is wonderful and beautiful, that fresh snow and those big snowflakes. But then it should melt away also as quickly( or even faster) as it has fallen LOL.
Oh poor Pogo! Not nice from Joe to scare the little one. I am sure he meant well, but just didn;t think about it that Pogo is such a little creature and can scared easily. Could pogo be persuaded to go out for a moment, just to sniff the snow? n the other hand, when there is such a heap of it, he might "sink"into the snow and you would have to shuffle him out, ROFL! Oh I am bad, yeas.
Anyway, you stay in, warm and cozy and let this winter weather pass, and don;t get out when not really necessary.
Hugs
Kyra
