A Ride To Remember
November 2, 2014,
Good morning. Well, did everyone remember to set their clocks back? I did not. However, as soon as I woke up this morning I set back the kitchen clock and my alarm clock. The clock on the living room wall will have to wait until someone taller than me comes to visit.
I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween. Pogo and I sure did! This year's Halloween Eve ride was oh so exciting! As we were passing over Holland, we waved to our friends, Jan and Kyra. Then as we were heading back toward England, we spotted a couple of fighter planes chasing after us. Woo Hoo! We out ran them, of course. Those planes are no match for our trusty brooms. Gosh, I wonder why they were after us. Maybe they thought we were UFO's? Hmmmm?
Ah well, it was a fabulous ride, and we got to meet up with lots of our friends again. Now we're looking forward to next year's ride. By the way, putting Pogo's car seat on the back of my broom turned out to be a really fantastic idea. He stayed cozy and warm, and was able to see everything.
I got a really nice surprise in the mail. An absolutely adorable birthday card from my friend Kyra. And it was sooooo me! Have a look. Isn't this little card just perfect? I often wonder if all the peanuts that I scatter about are just gathered and stored away for winter. Or maybe do some of them
actually get roasted and eaten? Well, now we know! Thanks, Kyra. This really made my day.
These past couple of days have really been busy. Friday I did some errands, including stopping by Ace Hardware to pick up some bulbs for the one of the refrigerators in the house, and I ordered some new fire extinguishers. Then yesterday morning, I went to the post office and mailed off a birthday box to my daughter Laura Jean.
In the afternoon, I spent a few hours on my laptop gathering and editing photos for my next calendar. Once that was done, I got everything uploaded to Vista for printing. Did I mention that I had also finished my Christmas cards and uploaded those for printing too? Yessirree Bubba, I was a busy little beaver these last few days.
Last night, I put a few more rows on the green afghan. Now there's only twenty two more rows to go and it will be finished. I'll tack a few more rows on later today. My hands are itching to play with some of the new yarn that I have stashed away, but I'm trying to be good and finish these last two afghans first. Let me just say that although it is difficult, I'm doing it. (so far!)
Well, that's about all the news for this morning. Before I forget, here's the November page from my calendar.
Now I'm off to make a cup of coffee and catch up on a bit of blog reading. Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Good to hear your flight was a success and Pogo stayed nice and warm. I don't think I could fly that long on a broom, but then again...you've had much more practice. I'd need a couple of whisk brooms for training wheels to start out.
Happy happy birthday. That broom ride sounds like fun. Next time fly my way.
Yeah, I thought you would outfly the fighter planes LOL!
Sounds you had a very busy weekend, you prepared a lot for printing, and even did some crocheting too.!
I had great plans for the weekend but as usual all turned out to be different .
Well you will read all about it on my blog, which i am going to do now.
So hopefully you waxed you broomstick and put it away on a safe place for next year's ride!
Happy day and very happy birthday already for tomorrow.
Hug
Kyra
