The Bunny Is Going To A Baseball Game

Good morning folks, and here's hoping the clouds roll on by quickly so that the sun can shine.  Koolaid (Kevin) has his first high school baseball game this morning, and Tootsie and I are hoping to go watch it.  I'm just not looking forward to sitting outdoors if it's not warm.

We have to be leaving here in about 45 minutes, so I'll keep this post short.  I want to have my coffee before we leave, and I still have to get dressed.  Later this afternoon, I need to finish my Bunny duties.  Plus, I want to do more work on the April collab kit.  Time is flying by, and we will be posting the first two parts of the new kit on Monday morning. 

Let me share some photos with you that Audrey took while we were in Florida.  She spent a lot of time trying to photograph this little squirrel who was not making it easy for her.

While we were photographing some egrets, this one bird was trying to make up his mind whether or not we were friendly.  (I think that's what was going through his mind.)

She also took photos of a plane flying overhead.  Here is the original shot along with a close up where you can even see the propellers.  Nice work Audrey.

Now I really do have to get moving here.  We have less than a half hour to get ready and leave.  The game is being played in Plymouth, so we have a bit of a drive ahead of us.   Till tomorrow, Y'all have a terrific day.

Time For The Bunny To Get Busy

Good morning.  The sun is shining, but there are a few clouds lurking about.  Well, I should be at work today, but Tootsie's babysitter had to work today so that means I have to stay at home.  Her babysitter?  Yes.  Because of her anxiety problems, I cannot leave her alone.  She is afraid of being left alone, and the anxiety brings on seizures.  I don't know what kind of life her first six months were to cause all of this, but I fix it best I can by having a babysitter that she enjoys being with.

So.  Am I nuts or something?  Of course!  Actually, I think we all have to be a little nuts to get along in this scary world of ours.  Besides, my Tootsie has brought me so much happiness that there is very little I won't try to do for her to keep her happy and safe.  Here's a cute photo of her enjoying a nap while we were in Florida.  Note how her little tongue just doesn't always fit back into her mouth.

Well, let me tell you about yesterday.  Once again, I had to call and have my doctor appointment moved to a different day.  Then I spent a lot of the day making sure all my PC files were moved onto an external drive.  All my thumbdrives are quite full, so I had to start moving some of their files over to DVD.  So now, I am totally confused as to where any of my stuff is. 

I guess I will have to pick up another external drive.  I like to keep one for the PC, one for the laptop, and one for my photos.  (maybe two for the photos!)  Wayne came by and took my new PC and my little laptop.  Hopefully, they will be back by Tuesday and I can start to get all my files back to where they belong.

I did learn one very important lesson from all of this.  If you have Photoshop, you can only install it on two computers.  If your computer needs to be wiped and started over, make sure to de-activate your Photoshop.  That way you can re-install it back into your clean computer or a new computer. 

The mail lady brought me two packages.  One was from Audrey containing a disk with some of her photos. The other contained my new print that I had ordered of one of my photos.  The photo was the one I posted a few days ago of the mist rising on the pond with the geese and ducks.  I will get this framed and we'll hang it in the den. 

I took some photos of my new orange poppy plants that I bought for my garden.  I just could not pass them by.  Orange is my favorite color, and I love poppies.  Isn't this gorgeous?

I was itching to buy some tomato and other veggie plants, but it's not time to put them in the ground so I held off for now.  The temps are supposed to stay between the high 40's and 60 for the next week with really cool nights.  So, I guess we'll have to wait another two or three weeks to start our new planting.

Now I want to get started on my Bunny duties.  I swapped off my Saturday night at work so that I can stay home and enjoy my Easter.  I've already picked up all my basket stuff, so today I want to get the eggs cooked and ready for decorating.  In case you're wondering, I always make Easter baskets for the dwarfs.  They look forward to them now.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fabulous day.

Too Many Tornadoes

Good morning.  The sun is shining, but it's still a bit nippy.  The temps are only supposed to hit the mid 50's today with a chance of rain.  My doctor appointment has been rescheduled from yesterday to today.  So, after that I will be busy cleaning out my old PC and making sure that all my files have been transferred to an external drive. 

I'm watching a news video on TV that is showing the tornado that went through Texas yesterday.  One part of the video shows tractor trailers being thrown through the air as the tornado went through a trucking company parking lot.  I don't ever remember there being so many tornadoes happening.  They seem to non-stopping and a way of life.

On to a lighter note, while I was doing some laundry yesterday, I took a photo of some of Tootsie's laundry hanging on the rack to dry.  It just looked so cute, I thought I would share it with you.

Actually, Tootsie has two large drawers (in my bureau) filled with her clothes.  She's a regular little girlie girl, and loves pretty things.  I found a memory foam doggie bed in a catalogue, so I might be ordering one of those for Tootsie.  Maybe with one of these, she wouldn't have to scrunch up her blankets in order to get comfortable.

While we were out in the yard yesterday, I saw that more flowers were blossoming, so I took a few photos to share.  Here's one of my pretty daffodils.

Eddie came by yesterday and started working on our new lawn.  Next time he comes over, he'll sow the grass seed.  It will be so nice to see beautiful green grass in the yard.  If I can swing it, I would like to put some sort of patio on the other side of the yard so that we can sit out and enjoy the garden.

More Gorgeous Birds

It's sunny this morning, and currently about 50 degrees F.  The weatherman says that today's temp will hit about 64 degrees.  That will be nice because Tootsie and I have a few errands to do today.

First errand this morning will be to pick up my new PC at Staples.  Boy oh boy, will I ever be glad to get Vista out of my life.  It has been a craw in my neck since day one.  I have to say that when Microsoft puts out a bad product, it is a REALLY BAD product.  That's what Vista has been.  I know that a lot of folks might like their Vista, but it has never given me a good day.  I finally stopped using my PC unless I absolutely had to.

I also want to get outside and start cleaning out my gardens.  There are lots of plants coming up and I need to make a list of what I have to buy for this year's planting.  I don't think my Hibiscus plant made it through the winter, but I'm hoping that my Rose of Sharon made it through.  I would like to plant more of the Rose of Sharon.

Yesterday, I shared a gorgeous bird photo that my friend Mary Ann sent me, and today I have two more of her bird photos to share.  I've seen a Baltimore Oriole on a couple of occasions, but I've never been able to photograph one. 

This next bird is a Pyrrhuloxia, otherwise known as a Desert Cardinal, and is found in the American Southwest and Northern Mexico.  I believe this one is a male.

Mary Ann, this is just fabulous!  You're raising the bar for me with this photograph.  One can almost count the hairs on this beautiful bird.  Great job my friend!

Today, I'm learning my way around this new laptop.  It's really quite nice, except for the pesky fingerprint thingy that keeps popping up and disrupting whatever I am working on.  I'll have to find the user manual and learn how to use the fingerprint for my passwords.  Maybe then it will stop pestering me.

Yesterday Was A Busy Day

Good morning from my sunny part of the world.  It looks to be a lovely morning outside, and the weatherman is promising temps around 60 degrees.  Oooh I hope so because I want to take Tootsie and go to the park today with my tele-converter lens.  Maybe my son in law will bring his camera and meet me there.  That would be nice.

Well, last night Wayne brought my sickly laptop back all fixed like new.  This is good because I have promised it to my daughter Dee Dee.  (if it could be fixed like new)  Which in turn means that she can pass her laptop on to her daughter Jasmine.  See, everything goes round in a nice circle.  I was able to get my new laptop all set up by myself except for transferring over my email, Photoshop, and Norton.  So Wayne was doing that for me last night and will bring my new baby back to me tonight.

I just finished paying some bills and put them in the mail box, and took out a big bag of chicken to thaw for supper.  Joe will cook it and I will share it with him.  So all in all, today is starting out to be a pretty good day.

I have a really pretty photo to share that was taken by my friend Mary Ann who is on vacation in Arizona.  I have never seen a Vermilion Flycatcher so I was especially pleased that she sent me this photo.  Isn't this a gorgeous bird?  Thanks for sharing, Mary Ann.

As I was leaving work yesterday morning, I noticed a really strange looking raindrop on one of the Mrs' tulip leaves so of course I stopped to take a photo.  The raindrop was long and very sparkly around the edges.  Isn't this cool?

Yesterday, I also installed Kaspersky in my little travel laptop.  Hopefully, I won't have any more problems with something eating my photos.  I haven't figured out why it's been happening and I hope it goes away.  I've never tried Kaspersky before but I've heard good things about it so I thought I would try it.

Now it's time to get dressed and get started on this beautiful day.  I called Eddie, and he has agreed to accompany Tootsie and me to the park to take some photos.  So, on that note I shall leave you.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Marvelous Weather For The Ducks?

Good morning.  We got a good rain soaking during the night, and it's still a bit damp outside.  According to the weatherman, it will be like this until tomorrow.  Well, as they say, it's good weather for the ducks.  Sometimes I wonder if that really is true.  Do ducks really like the rain?

Remember I told you about the pond I passed yesterday, and how beautiful the mist rising on it was?  Well, I looked at my photos and was pleasantly surprised.  I was standing on the roadside shooting through the branches of the trees and shrubs.  This first shot shows the hazy mist rising on the pond.

This next photo is my favorite, and I'm thinking that I will have this one enlarged, printed and framed for my wall.  There were two ducks and two geese in the pond,  and the pinkish color is from the branches  that I am shooting through.

Then, last night I decided to play a bit with my tele-converter that I had purchased a while back for my Tamron lens.  Up to now, I've been busy and forgetting to take it with me to the park.  I stood across the room and used my zoom to photograph a pill bottle on the counter.  First with the tele-converter, then without it.  I blurred out any thing that had names, etc on it for obvious reasons.

There was quite a nice difference, and the quality of the photo was good.  So I guess I'll be packing this tele-converter with my camera and taking it to the park this week.  I'm anxious to see how it works when photographing birds.

Now it's time to give Tootsie her meds, and then gather up those last few figures to be delivered to my tax accountant.  After that, it's "breathe easy" time till next tax season. So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Miss April Wore Snuggies All Night Long

I'd say good morning to Y'all, but we had about 5 inches of snow fall during the night and I had to drive home in this mess.  Gracious me, there was a lot of slippin' and slidin' all over the roads!!   At one little pond that I pass, there were several geese and ducks scooting around on the ice in their tiny little snow mobiles.  Oops!  Now you got me!  April's fool!

Actually, it was a bit nippy, but sunny this morning.  Everything was covered with frost, and there was mist rising off most things.  There was even some frozen dew drops on the Mrs' tulip plants.  The leaves froze too and lost all their green color.

Next, I took a photo of the frost on a bush outside the door.  Interestingly, you can actually see the frost.

I stopped by the pond to take a few photos, but I haven't looked at them yet.  Hopefully, there are a few good shots.  My next stop was at the nearest Walgreens Pharmacy to pick up tissues and toilet tissue.  I don't think I've ever run out of toilet tissue until yesterday.  Believe me, it's not nice! 

Now I want to have a look at my new laptop before Wayne takes it away to get all my programs set up in it.  Last night, I read through the paper work that came with it and discovered that it has fingerprint technology in it along with some other goodies.  Now I can't wait to try some of this out. 

Miss Tootsie has just finished her morning treats, so it's time to get her meds.  She knows what's coming and she's already looking for a good place to hide.  Gosh, you just gotta love this kid!
