Part Four of LNO

June 18, 2008

Well, today was a lazy day. The cold got the better of me, and I spent half the day in bed. I feel so bad for Tootsie. She stays right by me, but she gets no play time or exercise when I'm like this. I'll have to make it up to her soon.

Have you ever noticed how beautiful trees are? We go through our whole life taking the trees for granted, and hardly ever noticing their beauty. Or maybe it's just because that when you get much older, you tend to find more time for noticing.

Today, I'll share with you a close-up photos of the Redbud Tree and the Golden Chain Tree. Also, I'll be posting Part Four of "Ladies Night Out." There will be two more parts after this. Enjoy,

Hugs, Edna B.

New Layouts & Part Three of LNO

June 17, 2008

This afternoon we got some much needed rain along with some thunder and lightening. I won't have to water any plants tonight. However, I do have to pay a visit to my nail salon. My nails are a mess, and they're getting in the way when I type. Having my nails groomed is one of my little treats to myself. I feel pretty when my nails look pretty.

Several times a week, I pass a lovely cemetery in a nearby town. A couple of years ago, someone had a beautiful memorial stone set up front so that everyone passing by could see it. I just had to stop one day and photograph it. Today, I made a layout for a challenge at Scraphead, and used that photograph.

The following layout was made with an adorable mini-kit made by "pSirenSong Designs."
(Her kit was made for a challenge at Scraphead) The photos are mine.

Me thinks it's time to get off the computer because I hear the rumble and crack of more thunder and ligthening. So I'll post your download link for Part Three of "Ladies Night Out" and scram.
Enjoy,

Hugs, Edna B.

Two Freebies Today - Part Two LNO

June 16, 2008

For some reason, I'm very tired today. Must be the gray weather we're having. Makes you want to just curl up in a little ball under your blankets and take a nap. Now that's a wonderful thought for a little bit later on. H-m-m-m-m.

Another week has gone and my little Tootsie is still doing good on her new med routine. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Right now, she's busy guarding our door, barking at anyone who passes.

There's no exciting news for today. That's kind of a let-down after yesterday's excitement. Oh well, soon enough more good things will happen. Like today. Today I have two freebies for you. First there's the Floral Mining QP, and then there's Part Two of "Ladies Night Out." So I'll get right to it. Enjoy,

Hugs, Edna B.

More Great News!

June 15, 2008

Twice in one day! That's a record for me. But I just got some wonderful news and I thought I would pass it along. My friend, Carol from England, has become a grandmother once again this morning. And my goodness, what a beautiful baby!

Alfie Lee arrived at 5:35 this morning at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, weighing a healthy 6 pounds, 5 ounces. Both Mom and Alfie are well.

CONGRATULATIONS TO CAROL and her family.

Freebie Today, Pt. One of LNO

June 15, 2008

As promised, today I'll post Part One of the new kit "Ladies Night Out." There are six parts. But first I want to share some photos with you. First, here's one of Gater and Nanny together. These two are just so adorable. They haven't figured out yet that they're not puppies.

The second photo was taken by my friend, Mary Ann Roesler. I think it's a mining place in Arizona. I just thought it would make a really pretty background for a QP. So I made the QP, which I'll post for you tomorrow.

And finally, here is a preview of "Ladies Night Out."

That's all for today, tonight's a working night. Enjoy,

Meet "Gater."

June 13, 2008

Today I want to tell you about a wonderful artist, Miss Sonja. She is a friend of Barry at BAZ http://www.psptubez.com/ in South Africa. I fell in love with her beautiful full figured ladies, and finallly decided to make a kit for them. It is called "Ladies Night Out" and I'll be posting it starting Sunday.

Today, I have some photos to share with you that I took this afternoon. This beautiful animal is " Gater." He was orphaned as a baby, and was taken in and raised by a friend who also had a little white goat named " Nanny." Of course, Nanny instantly adopted Gater as her own, and rarely ever leaves his side. They trot all around the neighborhood side by side. Today, Gater stopped by for a drink and a snack, so I was able to get a few pictures.
Gater enjoys a refreshing drink.

Gater loves crackers.

Your Saturday freebie is a QP that I made with Snow Raven's "Hope Catcher" kit. But it is getting late now and it's almost Saturday, so I'll post it now. Enjoy,
Hugs, Edna B.

Another Really Nice Day

Jun. 12, 2008

We got to open our doors and windows again today for a few hours before the temperature turned too warm. What a pleasure to hear the birds chirping, and to feel the breeze.

I'm trying to decide which layout to share with you today. Maybe the one I made today for a challenge at Scraphead. ScrapShana gave us the template,(http://scrapshana.blogspot.com) the background papers are mine, and Miss Audrey gave me the photos. They were taken at a Boy Scout campground, where Audrey and her husband had volunteered to help teach archery. I chose this photo of the fishing dock because of the beautiful reflections.

We're cooking on the grill tonight (what else is new!), and I'm going to open a new jar of Dixie Relish that my daughter, Audrey, made for me. M-m-m-m good! Here's a picture to get your chops drooling. The jar kit came from Carolina Girl Scrap Creations: http://carolinagirlscrapcreations.blogspot.com/.
Enjoy,

Hugs,
Edna B.
