When I first retired I did very little....and loved it. Now i can't seem to fit everything in..although I did start working again part time ( just 7 hours a week) doing something different to my original job. I do find more time for my art thug:)lorikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05562276944312915690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836896508271015450.post-4818667417006320652014-08-20T23:45:50.196-04:002014-08-20T23:45:50.196-04:00It is a great composition of repeated shapes! I “rescue” water filling jugs with the water I run when I get it warm for dishes – it’s cat water, coffee water and the half gallon jug is perfect for spaghetti, but after a couple days without drinkable water in Toledo the entire thought of pouring buckets of water over people is just despicable! I read an article yesterday about the stunt really helping ALS, but it’s so sad that it takes that silliness, and wastefulness, to get people to care. That it takes drawing attention to yourself, likes on the internet and such, to prompt a parson to donate is sad.

Vultures have a bad rap but are beautiful birds! I like your photos! And the palm trees, well you know how much I love palm trees.

Enjoy the quiet days, but I’m sure you won’t say quiet; the retirement thing is still new and you’ll be busy in no time. Pogo will keep you on your toes!

Hugs, Nani
Nanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06376476093305279684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836896508271015450.post-24847152317961329262014-08-20T03:31:00.786-04:002014-08-20T03:31:00.786-04:00Sometimes retirement could look a bit boaring but ...Sometimes retirement could look a bit boaring but oh, it is ever so nice. and as you have hobby's enough then there is nothing wrong having quiet days.
It's really a shame that waste of water, I totally agree with you.
Have a great day
Hug
Kyrasmiekeltjehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16375937338027468675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836896508271015450.post-41792823799414037212014-08-19T20:53:57.021-04:002014-08-19T20:53:57.021-04:00Retirement is supposed to have some nice quiet day...Retirement is supposed to have some nice quiet days, things seem to all get done, but not at the fast pace that used to be necessary.
Very good point about the waste of water. Where it is plentiful in many parts of the country...it's not so abundant in others. I'd never thought about that part of this new craze before. The Queen Jesterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03613469797513739495noreply@blogger.com
