Oh, and you...Those pines are absolutely beautiful!!
Oh, and you are treated with two rose bushes. I just adore roses and such great colors. Can't wait to see a flower!
Such sweet idea of one of the dwarfs to send the Mothers day card.
All together you had just a wonderful day, best of it not having to work LOL!
Take advantage of whatever nice weather there is today, ours is slowly creeping to be better too, bit more sun, bit less rain, temps not yet fantastic, but it will come too. Perhaps by the end of the week we find a good day to go to the Japanese garden.
We have to hurry a bit now, because soon it will be closed again for the public.
Have lots of fun today
Hugs
Kyrasmiekeltjehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16375937338027468675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836896508271015450.post-30002694947727692132014-05-12T15:55:29.464-04:002014-05-12T15:55:29.464-04:00That is a most interesting and beautiful pine tree...That is a most interesting and beautiful pine tree. I've seen some with the pink cones and tried planting one shortly before we sold the house. I can see that you had ...Well, where do I start ... I can see that you had a wonderful Mother's Day. Sorry I didn't get over to share some joy with you, but busy is the buzz word around here for now.

I love your pink pine cones. I have a big pine, but the cones don't turn pink ... I think they just start out brown and end up in my driveway brown. I filled two 33 gallon garbage bags full of them just the other day. I do agree, though, that the trees are beautiful. We used to have three in a row ... two on my neighbors side. He killed his by piling mulch up so high around them that they couldn't breath ... Now only ours stands and the side where the other two trees were is almost bare. Looks funny from that side of the street.

I think you are awesome giving your afghan to such a deserving lady. She will love it and it will keep her warm and sunggly when she is hurting. You are the best, Edna!

Your gardens are wonderful and I love your little garden critters that were sent to you from Audrey and Deanne. I love the Mother's Day card from your Dwarf and yes, you have said many times what a wonderful family of dwarfs you have.

Your picture with your mother and brother and wonderful ... looks to me like everyone took after Mom's good looks, right? Isn't it fun to go back through those old pictures ... each one seems to trigger a new memory that had, for the moment, been lost.

Our weather is strange, hot one day, cold the next. Rain and more rain and who knows what is coming next (It;s snowing in Colorado). It has been warm enough to work in the garden, but the rain makes everything wet and messy , so I still have quite a lot to do. Yesterday I planted the grass along our sidewalk (where the salt from the bag that said "safe for pets and yard") killed the grass. Now I am not sure what I will do next year if we have another winter like this one, because I can't just keep planting new grass every year. I also cut the grass and got our swing out on the deck (with my son's help) so now we can sit outside when it is not raining ... if ever:). He has been painting the apartment downstairs and getting things cleaned up ... he had to work yesterday on Sunday(Mother's day). I won't tell you what I think of the person he works for!!!!

Well, I have babbled long enough. My friend went into the hospital last Friday with a high fever ... they think she may have Lyme Disease, but she has to wait for the cultures to come back. She was supposed to leave for Florida this Wednesday ... she is still hoping she will be able to go ... hmmmm. Not sure that will work out, but I am going to go see her this afternoon to hopefully cheer her up a little. You have a great week, Edna and give some thought to retirement ... The "Mrs." is getting pretty hard to take these days, I'm guessing. Just a thought. You could always be a greeter at Walmart and get a discount on your yarn, Ha! Be well ...

Andrea @ From The SolAndrea @ From The Solhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00657271089899579261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836896508271015450.post-24665480601765436962014-05-12T10:59:28.805-04:002014-05-12T10:59:28.805-04:00Glad you had a special day.
