Snow And Rain And Snow

December 02, 2019

Good morning.  Tis cold here and everything is covered with snow.  The snow started yesterday afternoon, very lightly.  Then the snowflakes started getting bigger and falling faster and faster.  It snowed all through the night.  Some of the flakes were big and fat.  However, we only got a few inches of it.  At least that's what it looked like when I last looked outside.

My phone weather app tells me it is raining right now.  I just looked out, and yup, it's raining.  Lightly at the moment.  It's supposed to rain on and off all day, then change back to snow for tonight and tomorrow.  Sounds like "Stay indoors" weather to me.

My grandson Bobby is a chef, and so it stands to reason that his children will enjoy cooking too.  Here's a photo of Aurora and Xander that he sent last evening.  They are helping to prepare their Thanksgiving dinner, and they are thoroughly enjoying it.

Deanne sent me another photo last night after she got home from work.  It seems that yesterday was "funny socks" day at work.  If I understand correctly, the employees who participate in these odd days at work receive tickets that they can use at a raffle.  I'm assuming the raffle is at work too.  The more tickets you collect, the better your chances are of winning something.  Here's Deanne's funny socks.  The black dots are googly eyes.

You know, people are funny.  Deanne tells me that out of about four hundred employees, only forty or so actually participate in these fun days.  I wonder why that is.  I would have loved something like this back in my working days.

My stepson Sean sent me a photo too.  Do you remember the days of the Ice Cream Truck?  Well in his part of Florida, they have an Ice Cream Boat.  I love it!!

Well, I finally did it.  I finished the pink afghan.  I just have to tie in two little yarn ends and I can package it.  Last night, I dug out my red yarn and started the red and black afghan.  Today I'll have to put in my order for the rest of the yarn.  I have enough to get started, but that's all.  I even put a couple new rows on the yellow afghan that I started a while ago.  This one will take a while, and I'll work on it in between other projects.

I forgot to mention, but on this past Friday, I finally finished my calendars and Christmas cards and got them uploaded to the printer.  Today I got an email saying that my whole order was shipped to me yesterday.  Woo Hoo!  I have to thank my friend Mary Ann for helping me with Photoshop Cloud so that I could get my card finished.

As soon as my order gets here, I'll have to start addressing the envelopes and mailing labels.  I guess I have a super busy week coming up.  In between I want to finish up my wrapping.  I need to get another box or two out in the mail.

That's my news for today.  Now I need to sit down and pay a few bills before I settle in to do a bit of blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Cute photo of the "chef's helpers!" Love those CrAzY socks, too. That is a fun idea. Your weather sounds terrible. Hope you and Pogo are staying inside and warm and cozy. Glad your cards are on their way. You have a restful night.
