Lordy Me, It's Still Snowing!

December 03. 2019

Good morning, and a snowy one it is!  After yesterday's snow we got the rain.  Last night, after the rain, the snow came back.  It hasn't stopped yet.  Thank goodness the flakes aren't big and fat this time or we'd be buried.  Temps are only 31 F degrees and should go up maybe one more degree.  Oh boy!

My weather app is having a problem.  It says it is raining now, and should snow all day.  I've been outside, and it is snowing (not raining).  My poor little app probably needs a good rest.  tch, tch, tch.

I got good news this morning in my email.  The package that I sent overseas about eleven days ago has already been delivered.  Awesome!  Of course that means that the receiver of the package will have to sit and look at the contents for more than three weeks before they can open anything.  Oh well, this just prolongs the excitement.

I am so hoping that my calendars and cards come this week so that I can get them all out in the mail too.  After that, I need to get these last couple of boxes packaged and mailed and then I'm done.  I'm amazed with me this year.  Somehow I managed not only to get everything done in time, but I'm a speck early.  Woo Hoo!

Now if only I can transfer this energy to getting my tax stuff done early, and wowsie!  Oh I don't even want to think about that in case I hex myself.  Well, at least I do already have all my paperwork separated into piles in preparation for getting the tax stuff started.

Yesterday, I went online and ordered the rest of the yarn that I will need to make this red and black afghan.  I already have eight rows done on it.  After this one, I still have a few more to make for some of my great grandchildren.

Our turkeys were here early yesterday looking for their food.  Unfortunately, I could not get it over to their feeding spot.  I don't have boots.  Actually, I can't remember the last time I ever did have boots.  I know I had them when I was really young.  I probably should get me a pair though, because if it snows when I have to go out, I won't be able to go.  I've reached an age in life where I try extra hard to stay healthy and not get sick.  What do you think, aren't these some pretty awesome looking turkeys?

I still have a bit of wrapping to do, so maybe I'll get some of that done today.  As soon as Deanne's tree goes up, I'd like to send a box of presents home with her to put beneath her tree.  The more that leaves here, the merrier.

Well, that's my news for today.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I could not live where it was cold as where you are as well as some other norther places. Be careful if getting out.

I wonder if you could put the turkey's food somewhere other than its usual spot, someplace you could reach in the snow? They'd probably find it.

Sounds like that snow might not hang around for long, anyway.

The turkeys are beautiful. Thx for sharing the photos.
Oh, the snow and cold make me shiver!
Yes, you need to find some boots you like!
Have fun wrapping presents. Enjoy some Christmas music and maybe something hot to drink.
Hugs to Pogo.

Edna,
You are really ahead of yourself this year and I know that your relieved at having it not staring down at you. I am so proud that the package over seas made it already. I am having to sit and look at mine too but I don't mind since it is building the anticipation...

Hopefully your cards and calendars come in soon. We are waiting on Fed Ex to deliver a package for Nathan today. He ordered himself a play station 4 to go along with his new tv.

I was reading an article the other day where the FBI was warning people that have new smart tv sets that they could be at risk for hackers so Nathan and I went thru the settings last night and turned all of them off. But he is going to call the company today because it did not give any information on a camera. We want to turn that off as well but it might be that this particular brand does not have one...

Have a beautiful day. The birds look so pretty with all the snow. I know your not a fan but it really is so pretty!

Love to you and Pogo...

WOW! you have been busy, Edna, I haven't even started my mailing yet, and know I must get busy soon! I am hoping to get my cards addressed and mailed by the weekend. We did finish decorating yesterday, and I am so happy about that.

Your wild turkeys are so spectacular, we have a few that show up around here once in awhile.
Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comment.

Kudos to you Edna for getting so much done ahead of time. I haven’t started my Christmas cards and the plans is to rite some this weekend. The late Thanksgiving holiday threw me off and so I didn’t order any photos early to use in my cards. I will get a few done at the local CVS. I wasn’t sure about sending cards this year, but knew I would miss not doing it. No packages to mail as we will hand deliver ones to family and friends. An don’t even want to think about tax stuff...yet. Thanks for your visits and comments on our blog.
