Just Trying To Stay Warm

December 20, 2019

Good morning.  It is super cold today.  The temperature now is 19F degrees and feels like 2F degrees.  BRRR!  Last night I had to put on my thick fuzzy socks because my feet were like ice cubes.  This severe cold seems to just come right through my walls and my floors.  Not my cup of tea!

This morning I still can't seem to warm up.  So, I guess I won't be doing much in the way of projects today.  Pogo and I will be spending a lot of time under that big orange comforter keeping warm.  We've been watching Animal Planet on TV all morning and it's been very interesting.

Today's old Christmas photo is of Santa (my brother) and my friend Evie from my ceramics shop.  Santa and I had stopped by her house to say "Hello" and she gave him a big smooch.  See, we all love Santa.

I found this next picture on the web and borrowed it to share with you.  This could be my bed!  Pogo might be very tiny, but he can take up a large portion of the bed.

I called my cousin Ellen yesterday only to find out that she will be staying in the nursing home for good.  Her family will feel better knowing that she will have someone around all the time to make sure she doesn't fall.  Unfortunately, they are going to take her two beautiful kitty cats to a no-kill shelter.  This makes me very sad.

That's it for my news today.  Now I'm wanting to get back under my orange comforter.  So, till Sunday, stay warm and have a fantabulous weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

Wow, you did experience a cold day. Glad you and Pogo have a warm blanket to enjoy.
My little dog is a bed hog, too!
We are pretty cold here (for Georgia) and I plan to stay in and warm this weekend.

Oh, that's a shame about the cats. But at least it's a no-kill shelter. At my mom's assisted living facility, people can have cats in their rooms! I love those bedsheets -- that's certainly true of us around here, too.

Brrrrr, that makes me shiver! We are at 45 degrees this morning and rain is on the way. Cute picture of Santa and your friend Evie:) Sorry about your cousin Ellie:( I know it is what is best, but still makes me sad for her and the kitties. Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!

Like i said the other day, you are good this year! Only having to wrap a few presents for the dwarfs! Congratulations to you LOL!!!!!
The blue colors look to be lovely together for the new afghan.
Love the photo of the bedcovers, it is so recognizable.

Sorry to hear about Ellen. Of course it is a good things she will be watch over all the time, but real said she cannot take her cats with her. It will be hard for her to get used to it.
Still luky they are brought to a no kill shelter. Perhaps they will find a new home, let's hope so.
Gosh it is really cold in your area! We still have here, without any sunshine, still something like 7-9C (44-48 F).
Stay warm under your orange blanket, together with Pogo!
Have a lovely day.
Hugs
Kyra

It know how hard it is but she'll get such good care. Hope the kitties find a good home though! Holiday hugs!

Loved seeing your 'Santa' picture! Looking at his eye he looks a little surprised and your friend looks to really be in to that kiss. Hilarious. I've never commented but read your blog regularly. Have a Merry Christmas. Patty McDonald

It's cold here too in NH, Miss Edna, and staying cozy under the covers is a great idea! Sorry to read about your cousin, but hopefully she will be well looked after in the nursing home. At some point, it does become difficult to live alone and I hope her two cats find good homes as well.

Merry CHRISTmas to you and Pogo Edna! I'm sorry I have been remiss in commenting, so very busy! Arthritis has been around making things miserable for me (requiring 3 different injections to eliminate some of the inflammation)! Also I have decided to sell my home here in Texas and move to where my family resides in Georgia! I have been here 43 years and think it is time to go home! I have no family here but my fur babies who are quite bewildered with all these boxes stacked to ceiling in each room!LOL! i do keep reassuring them they are going with me! Anyhow, purging and packing 29 years in this home is exhausting! We go to closing here on the 23rd and closing there on the 10th so I have no time for my computer or even sending out cards this year (a first)! Will try sending after settling to let all my friends know why with my new address! Just wanted to wish y'all blessed and Merry CHRISTmas and a wonderful 2020
Hugs, Mat
