Trying To Make Friends With Windows 10

November 3, 2019

Good morning.  Tis six o'clock and my daughter is now on the shuttle bus to the airport to catch her plane going back home.  I miss her already.  I was missing her as soon as she started taking her suitcases out the door here.

This week has flown by.  Audrey did a lot of re-organizing here for me and was such a big help for me.  And, she helped me learn how to use my new laptop.  It really helped because I'm typing on it right now.  My friend MaryAnn called me yesterday, and she's going to help me find my way around my Photoshop Cloud program.  I'm all set to get comfortable with this new laptop.

Friday, Audrey took Deanne and me out to dinner for my birthday.  We went to Olive Garden.  The girls had steak and fettuccini alfredo, and I ordered the "Tour of Italy."  Mine had a big piece of lasagna, a piece of chicken parmesan and a helping of fettuccini alfredo.  Yum, yum!

This is Audrey and Deanne at the restaurant last evening.  We had a wonderful time!  Thank you Audrey.  (the Blogger photo link is not working so I can't place the photo in the center.  Please bear with me till I figure things out.)

I was able to catch up on a lot of my blog reading, but some of the comment sections had Audrey and me in stitches laughing.  While I would be typing a comment, the laptop started reading everything on the page out loud to me.  I don't know how it did this, but it was funny while it lasted.

At one point the laptop said that Microsoft needed to install updates.  Considering how long this laptop has been sitting idle, there were quite a few updates.  In fact, it took hours for them all to get installed.  It was after that, that a few things started working differently -- like the photo uploader on my blog, and another program that I haven't found yet.

Audrey was able to install my puzzle program, but I haven't had a chance to try it out.  I'm hoping that it works with Windows 10.  If anyone knows how to fix the photo uploader on Blogger, please let me know.  I can use all the help I can get.

I do have new links for the quick pages that I posted on Oct. 31.  They are:

I do have the November page from my calendar for you.

Last evening, Audrey and I took a selfie because we hadn't taken any photos of us together yet.

Well, that's my news for this morning. .  So till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

So sad for you that Audrey had to leave already! will you see her again during your holiday in Florida?
Oh, I am getting a little bit upset in advance to have to get used to a new laptop with the windows 10, installing my needed programs on it(hboping they still will work okay with the windows 10). In time I think I will get used to it, but it will not be easy, I fear.
Perhaps we can help eachother with it, once I have a new laptop.
Love the photo of you and Audrey and the one of Deanne and Audrey. And your meal you had sounds delicious to me!
Good, time for me to make a blogpost,
Have a wonderful day, hopeAudrfey arrives safe at home!
Hugs
Kyra

Awwwwaa, I knew you hated to see her go. I felt like that when my sister came and left. it make you feel lonely again. You got a lot accomplished while she was there to help. You still have Pogo to cuddle with and maybe he will set his computer set up in your computer room and you two can work together or maybe he prefer to set up his bed and blanket. (lol I wish I could help by telling you how to download photos to your blog but I doesn't know myself. Maybe oneday I will start a blog, but as of now, I doesn't feel like keeping it up. I just read others and comment on yours. I hope you and Pogo have a beautiful and healthy day. Hooray!!!! we were at 49 degrees this morning.

Happy birthday late my friend! I love your photos and your spunk for technology. You were very blessed with such lovely children. I hate to see my loved ones have to leave too. Hannah moved to NY state. I miss her face at lunch, she always came home because she worked close by. :-( I have been busy with all the fun things we did with Jake and Hannah while he was visiting. I want to visit them now but preferably when the snow goes away which will be a long long while. Take care and enjoy a wonderful ned week. HUGS and LOVE
