Happy Birthday Laura Jean

November 4, 2019

Good morning.  How quickly the colder temps have moved in.  Temp is at 44F degrees, and last night was in the mid to low thirties. But at least the sun is shining.  That makes it all good.

Today is my youngest daughter Laura Jean's birthday.  She's 54 years today.  Wow, they said she'd never make it to two, and here we are fifty two years later.  Happy Birthday Sweetie.   I love you.

And yup, it's my big day too.  I made it to eighty years!  Twenty more and I get a big party.  I know I don't feel eighty.  My brain is still in a much younger mode, but the body keeps getting older.  Ah well, it is what it is.  As long as I keep waking up in the morning, it's all good.

A few days ago, I got a package in the mail from my friend Kyra.  I set it aside (not out of sight) and this morning I opened it.  Oh my.  There was a lovely birthday card and a gorgeous little crystal Birthday Bear.  Kyra, thank you so much.  It's beautiful, and I love it.

Kyra, I had a grand time reading the pages from your TV Guide that were stuffed into the package to cradle the box with the bear.  I was surprised to see that a lot of it is in English, and a lot of the programs are the same as ours.   How wonderful.  Perhaps we are watching some of the same crime shows.  I enjoy them too.

I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes that have been coming in my emails and texts, phone calls and comments.  They really do warm my heart.  I don't usually make my birthday a big deal, but getting to this age is special.  Not many of my friends and relatives made it here.  I'm one of the lucky ones and I'm enjoying it.

Pogo got me a new boom box that plays CD's and Tape Cassettes.  Awesome sauce!  I have tons of CD's and cassette tapes that I want to listen to.  Thank you Pogo.  Here's a photo of my new boom box.

Dwarf Mike was going to take me grocery shopping today, but Deanne is coming by, so we'll do the shopping another day.  I'd rather sit and visit with my daughter any day.  Yesterday's project was to get rid of the recent junk mail, and to sit and pay a batch of bills.  Today I am just going to relax and cuddle with Pogo and enjoy my day.

The Blogger photo uploader is fixed somehow.  Now I just need to find my trash bucket.  There doesn't seem to be anything about it in the book that I bought either.  I shall wait and ask Audrey when I chat with her next.

The keyboard on my laptop is wicked sensitive.  I type fast, and the keys keep doing their own thing.  Somewhere along the way we shall have to compromise.  I like to use a mouse, so every time I open the laptop, I have to go into the settings and shut off the touch pad.  I wish there were a way to keep it shut off until I want it turned on again.

Before I forget, I want to mention that the C-Box isn't working on the front of my blog (on the right).  As soon as I can figure it out, I'll fix it.  In the meantime can the folks who use it please leave your comments in the comments section at the bottom of the post.  I would appreciate it.  I don't want to miss any of your comments.

Ah well, it's a learning process and it will take time.  I'm sure I'll get there one of these days.  When I do, I'll be glad to help anyone else who is struggling with Windows 10.

Well, that's my news for today.  Pogo is almost finished with his breakfast, and is looking like he wants more.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

It's cloudy and cook but not cold. The sun keep peeking in and out and I am hoping it stay in because it can get hot here when the sun appear. I've enjoyed the little cool weather that we have had. It still doesn't seem like it should be in the fall season. We go to winter and then summer and back to winter. Our winters aren't very cold, so we can drift right through the winter season. It's just about Christmas, or say Thanksgiving and then Christmas. They both are just around the corner and will be here soon.

I didn't know it was your birthday until I read your post. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND I WISH YOU MANY MORE GREAT YEARS." we are not getting old, we just keep waking up. God Keep giving us that gift of life each day, So true, there are a few I know didn't make this year and we are truly blessed, with health scares and all. I hope you and Pogo have a very blessed and healthy day.

Happy, happy birthday! 80 is a great age and I hope I get to see it one day. The gift and card Kyra sent you are so pretty!

I hated Windows 10 at first, but now I am so used to it I don't even think about it. You will get to that point someday soon.
