Checking Alternative Photo Editing Programs

November 22, 2019

Good morning.  Tis gray and windy with temps of 46 F degrees.  Today is supposed to get up into the mid fifties before cooling off again and starting to rain.  Tomorrow we should see the sun again, with cooler temps of course.

Yesterday did not pan out to be an outing to do errands.  Life has a way of changing plans.  So Pogo and I used the day to relax and just take it easy.  Today is another day.  I got busy and forgot to call my friend Mary Ann yesterday morning.  I'll have to text her to see when is another good time to help me with Photoshop Cloud.

I'm tempted to buy the latest Photoshop Elements and just get rid of the Cloud program when my year subscription expires.   I mainly use the program to make cards, calendars and quick pages, and to crop and lighten my photos.  I really don't need all the bells and whistles that the Photoshop Cloud offers.

I just took a break to look up Photoshop Elements on Amazon.  The customer questions and answers leave me a bit confused.  If any of you use this program could let me know how it is for you?  I have never used it, but I figured it would not be too hard to learn because I've had Photoshop for years.

Today I have two "Find The Differences" puzzles from Dover Publications.  These are great for keeping one's mind sharp.  Enjoy.

Not too long ago, I found an ad in one of my catalogues for a package of three pairs of women's socks.  They were lightweight and had no elastic in the top to leave marks on your skin.  They had my size and a much bigger size.  Knowing that socks usually tend to shrink down a bit when they are washed, I ordered the larger size.

The socks arrived and are sooooo comfy!  But they are definitely too big.  So I washed and dried them and  tried them on again.  Well dang it all, they did not shrink down even one tiny bit.  They are still too big!  I will have to re-order them in the correct size.  Go figure!

I'm off now to get a bottle of cold water and do a bit of blog reading.  So, till Sunday, Y'all have a fantabulous weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

I am struggling with my new PC and transferring photos from my phone. So much to learn and my brain just doesn’t work as good as it used too. Hope you find all of your answers to help you with what you want to accomplish. Hugs

I have never used Photoshop. Lots of people love it, though, so I guess it can't be too hard to use once you know how. Like other computer stuff it's the learning how! I hope you get yours figured out. I don't like things to change either.

I use Adobe Lightroom rather than Photoshop. Lightroom is much less complicated. I have a monthly Adobe subscription and it entitles me to use the program and store stuff in the cloud -- which I usually don't do. (I back up everything here at home instead, and upload all the edited photos to Flickr for online storage.)

I think you will love Photoshop Elements,I find it very pleasant to work with, I never managed to get ALL the in and outs of it but for the stuff I made I get around and can make my kitsor scrappages etc. If you really don;t need the heavier program of Adobe Photoshop(or is it called Cloud now?) I think PSE is lovely. There are a few others too but not all have the possibility to work with layers, and that's ever so nice and useful.
It is with all things new, once you get the hang of it it seems rather easy and simple. But the way to get there is sometimes very stressing and cunfusing hahaha.
When your body asks for a lazy day then you just have to listen to it, and then you will have a bit more power the next day.
Have a fantastic week.
Hugs

Friday afternoon after 1:30 our time should work. I don't do elements but it's a basic PS and you don't need LR an PS for what you do. Did you ever post that mining picture or did I miss it? I sent it to you but it's not from mt regular email address.
