An Update On Pogo

October 10, 2019

Good morning.  I want to thank everyone for your prayers for my little Pogo.  I know they are helping because he is still hanging in there.  So thank you, thank you.

It's a few minutes after 6 a.m. and I've just talked to the nurse (?) in the ICU.  I've been calling every three hours or so since yesterday afternoon.  He is still in the oxygen tent and breathing.  He slept very well through the night, but they could not get him to eat.

I just told the attendant that he will only eat one kind of doggie food and that it is a pate which I cut up into tiny pieces.  She said they would give it a try.  He's looking pretty good.  They just don't know how he would do if they took him out of the oxygen  tent.

She said that the doctors come in at eight and then do their rounds and examine all of the patients.  I would probably get a call sometime between 10 and 11.  I said that it was too long for me and I would most likely call again at least by 10.

I am hoping so to bring my baby home today.  Even with the TV on, it is just too darn quiet here.  Not that Pogo is noisy, but I miss his little sounds and his bossy little bark when he is hungry.  Most of all, I miss his cuddling.  I did ask when visiting hours start and they said at 11 a.m.  So, if he has to spend more time in the hospital, you can be sure I'll be there to visit.

That's my update for now.  I've got my fingers and toes all crossed in hopes that I can bring him home today.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I kept coming over to see if there were an update on Pogo. I was up early and glad to see he is hanging in there. I know he will soon be okay to come home. I've been praying that he is okay. I will check back later. I am not sending an email because You need all your time for pogo.

Edna, I am so sorry to hear about Pogo!! Oh, my God, how frightened you must have been when you sa him not breathing anymore!(and you still are in stress about him). I will send prayers up so someone will send him a guardian angel and that he will come out well!
You must feel so helpless at the moment.
Sending hugs to you and really hope we soon will have some good news about him!
