Farewell To September

September 30, 2019

Good morning.  Wowsie!  Have you noticed that today is the last day of September?  Already?  Let's just hope that the winter months go by just as quickly.  I love the seasons that come with the colder weather, just not the cold weather.

Yesterday I bought some new scrapbooking kits and started working on a new quick page.  I managed to finish one page, but it stills needs labeling, cropping and packing into a folder.  I'm getting there.

Today is sunny, and the temperature is 57F degrees.  It won't get up much higher than sixty degrees today.  Temps are really cooling down now as Fall settles in.  It's time to get my trusty broom out and ready for travel.  Hopefully, it won't be too cold for Pogo and me to meet up with our friends and go on our annual ride.  I just had to borrow this adorable picture from the web.

Sometimes the web is on overload with pictures that make us smile.  I found this one and just had to borrow it to share with you.  It puts the biggest smile on my face.

Today I'm not making any plans.  Somehow when I make plans life gets in the way and the plans go astray.  If I manage to accomplish a few things, I'll call it an amazing day.  Goodness knows, there are lots of things here to keep me busy.

When I think back to all the things I used to do in just one day, and all the time, it boggles this old mind.  When the kids were small, I would wash all our laundry in the sink or in the bathtub.  Then I would hang it out on the clotheslines to dry.  After, I would bring it all in, iron everything, then fold or hang everything.  Today, there is no iron and no clotheslines.  If I manage to get everything in the washer and dryer, then out and folded,  I've done a day's work.  Times have changed.

Here's another cute image that I borrowed from the web.  Somehow it seems to fit me just fine.  Hahaha.

I just talked with Deanne on the phone.  Both she and Jazzy have caught nasty colds and are not feeling so chipper.  Take care girls, and I hope you both feel better really soon.  I love you.

Now it's time to do a bit of blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Age and illness bring on drastic changes. I can remember washing the car, cleaning the house(over and over again) cutting the yard cooking and taking care of a child with school activities and homework and lots more things. Now I will do good just getting out of the bed and can only do some of those things if and when I feel good. Then to, you have some people that's suppose to be in good health and are as lazy as they want to be. (lol) My neighbor was telling me last week how filthy these ladies are that use to live 3 houses down from me. He said but one is kind of sick. I looked at him and said I will never make an excuse for being filthy. When you do have some good days, make those days worthwhile and no one should live in a mess. It's unhealthy. You and I do get up and take care of ourselves and our babies. We might not can do what we use to do but we are not going to live in a rut of dirt. (laughing) Time bring on changes but we can't give up. I hope you and Pogo have a good day. By the way, we are still in the 90's here in Texas. (lol)

Prayers that the girls will feel better soon. We are still having 90 degrees here but they say the weekend will see lower 80s. I am looking forward to some cooler temps. My days used to be full too and these days I can't seem to get my motor running:) Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!

It's a pity that September is over with. So the nice weather here.
Nice you had some chat time with the kids, and they made great t-shirts!
I hope Deanne and Jazzy soon will get over the cold, send them my best wishes.
You're not yet 100%, but still on the good way. so keep it that way.
If you cannot get done some things one day, well, another day you can do it also. Oh, yeah, when we were much younger, I remember too I had lots more energy and could do much more in a day than I do now. Best is to try to do something every day and when there is a day of extra energy, well, we can do some more. LOL.
First of all get totaly healthy and perky again, so take care!
Hugs
