I'm Still Here

July 25, 2019

Good morning.  I was up early this morning, but first I had to figure out how to turn on the wi-fi here.  I called in my breakfast order about twenty minutes ago.  The food isn't too bad here.  Some of it is downright delicious.  This morning I'm going to try pancakes and a fruit salad.  Yum, yum!

I don't have any more news yet, but there is a little improvement in my blood pressure.  It was wicked high when I first got here.  It's coming down in baby steps.  Yesterday, the doctor said we would take it day by day as to when I would be going home.  No problem.  Everyone here is nice, and my little guy is at his Auntie Dee's house.

I asked her to send me a photo of him, so last night she sent me this.  He looks like a raggy Lion King, and I miss him so.  We were going to do so many things this week, including a salon appointment for him, but that will wait till I get home.

I have another lily photo to share.  I have lots of these gorgeous orange beauties in my yard.

And then I have one other photo that I took of one of the playful squirrels in my yard.  They are so cute to watch when they are playing.

There's a delightful elderly lady in the bed next to me and we've been enjoying some chats.  She is ninety five years young and quite comical.  It seems we have lots in common, including doctors, children with handicaps, towns lived in, etc.  I will miss our fun chats when I do leave here.

I'll have to sign off here because my food will be arriving shortly.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I will give you a lot of encouragement because you know where I've been with my illness. No matter what happen in your life and it's not always for us to understand why, God is in control and you will be okay. My family tell me I am too stubborn to die. (lol) We can't always control what happen to us but we can control how we deal with it. You are still having a positive outlook and that is what we need to get by. Life sometimes give us lemons, but we must reverse that and make lemonade....Keep on drinking, smiling and dancing. I know yesterday, you said how did I get this...you will never know and I ask myself that daily. I am laughing from ear to ear when I read that Dee has Pogo. My son took care of my fur babies when I was in the hospital and that was a relief. Take care of yourself and stay positive like you are and things will get better. Have a great day. Enjoy the food.....sorry but I didn't. (lol) I Was so hungry all the time until management in the kitchen started preparing my meals. (lol)

I don't do blog reading for a couple of days and look what you go and do to get my attention! Seriously, I hope you are feeling better each day. Do just what they say and take care of yourself. You may have to change your lifestyle some, but I did too. You'll get used to no coffee and hot chocolate. Decaf is usually OK. Take care of yourself and hopefully the next post I see you will be home. I'll be praying for you.
