Happy Fourth Of July

July 4, 2019

Good morning.  Happy Fourth of July.  I hope everyone is going to be spending the day with their friends and families.  I know two guys who will not be doing that.  They are the guys who are putting up my new gutters.

These fellows started yesterday morning, and worked all day.  They are back here this morning to finish the job.  They are thinking that they should be done by one or two o'clock this afternoon.  Gosh, I hope so.  One of these guys has five kids, and he should be at home today with his family.

What's taking so long to do this job?  Well maybe because my house is the size of three houses put together.  Part of it is two stories high, and part of it is three stories high.  I watched yesterday as the longest gutters were being made, each one all in one piece.  There were two sixty feet long and four forty feet long.  All this plus a lot of shorter pieces.  It's definitely not an easy job.

Meanwhile, I did take a few more photos of my flowers.  Lots of lilies are starting to bloom.  Later there will be iris blooms.

The garden along the fence still needs to be cleaned out and weeded, but the blooms are still nice to look at.  Bobby will be by when he can to take care of this garden.  Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the beautiful colors.

Our town held their fireworks display last evening.  Pogo and I did not go, but dwarfs Joe and Mike went and enjoyed the show.  I had planned on watching some on TV, but I fell asleep.  No problem.  I really needed that sleep.

Today, Deanne will be coming by with an apple pie for me.  Yum!  What's more American than an apple pie?  I shall enjoy every last bite of that pie!

That's my news for today.  Now it's time for me to get busy and make breakfast for Pogo and me.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

hugs, Edna B.

I am just waking up. I did get out of bed and carried my fur babies out to potty and gave them breakfast. I am worn out today. We did a lot of work in the back yard last evening and I think I kind of over worked my body because no matter how I lay, I couldn't get comfortable.
You have such beautiful flowers. It strange how cold your weather is in the winter and they return as pretty as ever. Hope you and Pogo have a great Fourth of July.

I think that Foxy and I had as much 4th of July that we can stand. I have been to bed 3 times and all 3 times I have been jolted out of sleep or Foxy starts crying and shaking so I just have been holding her tight and hoping that the last one that BOOM's is really the last one. So far that is just wishful thinking.

Your flowers are very pretty. I have often thought of the same thing that Angelicastar said about your cold cold winters but still having such beautiful flowers. Your trees are stunning, your flowers are gorgeous. I know that just to be able to see all that color is happiness for your eyes and soul.

You enjoy that apple pie. I am going to try and go to bed... Hugs to you my friend and lots of hugs and cuddles and kisses to my sweet little Pogo... xx Beth
