Thank Goodness For Generics

June 7, 2019

Good morning.  Tis another gorgeous day outside my door.  It's sunny with no breeze, and a temp of 62F degrees headed for the upper eighties.  The trick will be to sit out on the porch this morning until it gets too hot to be out there.

Yesterday, I managed to do everything on my "to do" list except for the vacuuming.  I'll give that a try late today.  DIL Janet came by after work and went to WalMart with me.  I picked up my prescription for $36.00  Woo Hoo!  I was absolutely amazed!  The pharmacist explained that it (Advair) was now a generic, therefore making my co-pay only $36 for three months.  This saves me almost three hundred dollars a month for this one medication.  I can handle that!

I also got the second part of the shingles shot.  It comes in  two parts, three months apart.  I should be all set now till October when it will be time for the Flu shot again.  Now that my health was taken care of, I picked up a few groceries and a new pair of capri pants.  For our supper we had macaroni and cheese and a garden salad.  What a great way to finish off the day.

This morning I'm watching SHOP LC.COM, and doing my very best to behave and not buy anything.  I'm not a shopaholic, but I do like to shop for the best bargains.  This way, I can get the bulk of my Christmas shopping done long before the holiday gets here.

Today I have photos that I took a couple days ago of my Red Japanese Maple tree.  It's a joy to look at this tree because it is so beautiful.

Deanne sent me a photo of her pink rose tree that has become a large bush in stead of a tree.  She calls this plant "Beastie" because of how overgrown and large it has gotten.  Deanne, it's beautiful!

I did a bit of online shopping for a new air conditioner and I think I've decided on the one I want.  Before I order it, I want SIL Eddie to have a look at it to make sure it's what I think it is.  I haven't made any plans for today because I want to spend as much time as possible out on the porch.  Now that the hot weather is moving in, the best times to sit out will be mornings and early evening.

Now I'm going to take my coffee and my crocheting and head for the porch.  So, till Sunday, Y'all have a fantabulous weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

It sounds like the ideal day to sit on the porch. It is beautiful here too -- sunny and a cool breeze. The perfect Spring day. Hooray for generic medication. I couldn't afford mine either without it.

I see you are up early and I am just getting up at 9:30. I am an hour late. I am usually up around 8:30 taking my babies out to potty and giving them breaksfast. I did wake up around 5 for a little while and turned the air off in my room because I think this is why I was having a headache. I went back to sleep and overslept. I use 2 units when my son is here because he is always hot, but I hang outside a lot too. (lol) He won't be back til Monday and I can keep this air low. (lol)

Deanne rose bush is beautiful. I see she like flowers like you. My grandmother lived with us growing up and she planted all the flowers and my mom planted the vegetables. I do both. My house have beautiful flowers blooming in the yard. My neighbors are beginning to put some color in theirs now. I am glad I can be an influence in the neighborhood. I do share my yard if they want some of the plants I have. They have really been working in the yards this year. Have a wonderful day.

What a wonderful news on the price of the Advil! It isn;t to believe the big difference in price. I understand you are happy with it!
I do believe that several prices on medicins don;t have to be that high, they are often kept for longer time artificially high, byt the manufacturers of them.
Bobby did a great job on the sheds, they look happy again, and I hope your seed mats will prosper and not be eaten by the squirrels LOL.
Good to know you have some nice weather and that you can enjoy some moments at the proch with Pogo.
Lets hope the summer will last for very long.
Take care, and take it easy, have a lovely week.
Hug
