How Does My Garden Grow

June 30, 2019

Good morning.  Wow!  Where has this month of June gone?  The months aren't just flying by anymore.  They are FLYING BY!  It's amazing how the only months that seem to linger are the cold wintry months.

It's lovely here this morning.  The sun is shining and temps are in the seventies.  By noon it will hit eighty degrees, and then back down into the seventies.  A simply beautiful day.

Friday I took a walk around to the other side of the  house to take some photos of whatever might be blooming.  There are pink and red roses in bloom, and soon there will be a lot of lilies blossoming.  My lilies grow so tall!   That's a six foot tall fence.

The little Japanese Red Maple tree is also growing.  I was so afraid it wouldn't make it through the winters here but it is doing just fine.

These are the pink Knock Out roses, and the red Knock Out roses.

My Rhododendrons did not do so good this year.  Ah well, neither did any of my Spring flowers.  Maybe next year they'll do better.  At least the lilies and the roses will show some beautiful colors.

This morning I think I'm going to take my coffee and my little laptop out to the porch and do some blog reading.  After that, I think I'll try to make some quick pages.  I haven't had the chance to work on them in a while.

Now that I've stocked up on laundry detergent, I think I should do some laundry.  Ajax is the only one so far that does not make my skin itch and I can only find it in a couple stores.   So now I have five bottles of it on my pantry shelf.

Ah well, the laundry can wait a couple hours.  It's time for me and Pogo to head for the porch.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day

Hugs, Edna B.

You have beautiful flowers and those roses are so gorgeous. It's something wrong with this year growing season. For veggies, I think there are too much water and bugs. The worms came from somewhere in all the water we got and still getting here. It's now hurricane season for us and I am hoping we can get a pass on the hurricanes. It's cooler here since we are getting lots of rain and that is a plus for us. Yes, these months are moving on out. This entire year is flying by. It will soon be Christmas. (lol) Have a great Sunday

Good Morning.
I am so happy that you have stocked up on Ajax. I will be happy to send you some if you get low and cannot find it. Just let me know. I think that every store here sells it and we buy the giant size bottles.

We have an extra rinse cycle on our washer so when I do my clothes I always put it on the extra rinse cycle. Jonathan does as well. He also buys All unscented to wash and runs everything on the extra rinse as well. His bedding and towels as well. He is really sensitive to all soaps.

Wowsie what beautiful flowers and those lilies are gorgeous and very tall. I am really wanting to start working on my hydraquatics gardening. Jonathan is off work for the next 9 days so we are going to a few thrift stores to look for vases.

Talk to you tomorrow... I mean today. It is 4:30 in the morning here... Hugs to you my sweet friend and love to Pogo... xx Beth

Miss Edna, I don't get around the internet too often but today I stopped by your place. The pictures of your garden are gorgeous. I've had my single tomato plant on the nook table but it climbed to the ceiling so a FB group of ladies that special in Homesteading and free advice all advised me to cut it half way and plant the top beside it and then put it outside into the sun and bees. Without the Pollinators, it won't bear any fruit. So, I put it on the front lawn because I can't have a garden anyway and let it get the benefit of the sprinklers and I'll bring it in at night. Things on front lawns tend to disappear overnight in this college town. Pretty good sized pot but I manage to carry it outdoors. No garden this year for me. Maybe next year. Looking at a new house this afternoon which will have a place for my garden.

What beautiful roses, the colors are stunning.
It seems as though everything in the garden is blooming all at once, our state is ahead of you of course, I could share the heat and humidity if you'd like 😊
Thank you for this lovely post, your garden is amazing.
Hugs
