Another Damp Gray Day

May 2, 2019

Good morning.  Tis gray and damp outside.  Hmmm, I wonder if the sun will come out for a while today.  It did yesterday.  One good thing about damp and gray is that we're not getting downpours.  It's 46F degrees, and it should get up to 50F degrees.  However, we do have some warrmer days coming.

Before I continue, I meant to tell you yesterday that the photo on the May calendar page was taken by daughter Deanne.  Thank you Deanne, for sharing.

Yesterday, Deanne came by and after lunch, she planted most all my new plants.  Some of the plants are just tiny sticks with roots and a couple are seed rolls.

The hanging strawberry plant came with instructions that said "the plant only looks dead.  It's not, it's only sleeping."  I certainly hope it wakes up now that it is in a pot.

Thank you so much Deanne.  I really appreciate all the help you give me.  Actually, I don't think I'd get along so well if it weren't for you.  Folks, I have awesome daughters.  (and DIL Janet too!)  They take very good care of me.

I just took a short break to go outside and get photos of today's visitors.  One beautiful Tom Turkey and his lady friend.  Mr. Tom was strutting around so majestically with his gorgeous tail feathers all fanned out.  I don't get tired of watching these beautiful birds.  Tomorrow I'll have to share photos of our beautiful turkey friends.

Even though Easter has already gone by, I have to share this cute image that I found on the web.  I guess even our animal friends have their moments of needing a bit of help.

These past few days, a whole new batch of magazines, catalogues and junk mail has been delivered, so I think today's project will be to go through them and get rid of a lot of it.  Some days it can be very profitable.  The last time I went through all the junk mail, I ended up with $7.46.  Yup, I do keep the coins that charities send to me.  I don't mail cash, so I send them a check.

One of my favorite game shows (Common Sense) is coming on now and I think I'll go watch it.  Did you know that soaking your silver jewelry in a glass of Alka Seltzer for a few minutes will remove all the tarnish?  Yup!  I learn all sorts of interesting things from this show.

I'm off now.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I do not have anything going on in my life each day to share with others. You seem to be always doing something, Trust you get the hang of the new computer soon.
