Is Today The Day? We'll See.

April 11, 2019

Good morning.  After an unusal night (with more than three or four hours of sleep) the sun is shining and the temperature is 39F degrees.  The forecast calls for temps around fifty later today.

Pogo and I aren't going out today.  I have so much to do indoors that it should keep me busy till I'm 125 years old.  hahaha.  Maybe even more!  My fastest speed isn't much better than a snail's speed.  On the bright side of this coin, some speed is better than no speed.

Last evening, DIL Janet was here, and she started a new afghan.  She's using that new pattern that Audrey is using for the baby blanket that she is making.  Next week, I'll have to take a photo of Janet's new project.  I think I'd like to make something with this new pattern too.

Well, I'm thinking that today might be a good day to open the new laptop and try my hand at settng it up.  I'm curious to see if my puzzle program will work on this version of Windows.  I know that there are puzzles and games on the laptop, but I like the program that I've been using.  It's called Puzzle Master.  I haven't been able to find an updated version of this program.

I have some good news items to share today.  Audrey sent me a photo of a painting that her daughter Andi had made for her dad (Mac) for his birthday.  She made him an oil painting of her daughter Alena.  Wow, great job Andi!  This really looks like Alena.

Deanne sent me a photo of an award that Jazzy got for her performance in "Gypsy."   Congratulations to you Jazzy.  This is awesome!

Speaking of Jazzy, later today I'm going to try going to the induction ceremony (for Phi Theta Kappa) at the college.  I think I should call the college to see if the building with the theatre is handicapped accessible.  There is a lot of walking involved on campus, so I'll be wanting to take my walker with me.

I'm almost finished with the shawl that I've been crocheting.  Last night, I only had three and half rows to go and it would be done.  After crocheting for a few hours, I counted my rows again, and now I have three more rows to go.  What?  I must have been really tired the last time I counted my rows.

Now it's time for me to freshen my cup of coffee and do a bit of blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

When I read you have enough indoor projects to keep you busy for 125 years, I smiled. I can relate to that. I hope your puzzle program works on your new computer.

Don't get nervous and I know by the way you write and express yourself that you are an excellent reader. when you are setting your computer up for the first time, the software will take you through each step in personalization and security setting features. Don't forget to add your anti-virus. Windows have one but I turn that one off and use AVG antivirus. (free version). I use the windows firewall but you will also have a choice to use your own and turn theirs off. You're be letting us know how you are surfing through with no problem. We need some of your cold weather because we had an eighty degree temperature yesterday. It's better today and I am hating to see this heat come back upon us but we just stay inside in the air. *lol) Have a great day.
