More Fun Shopping

March 8, 2019

Good morning.  The girls and Pogo are still sleeping, so I thought this might be a good time to make a post.  Right now it is sunny with temps of 59F degrees.  Later this morning the temps will reach 80 degrees.  We are planning on walking around the resort to take photos today.  If I only make it so far, no problem.   Audrey can go get the car and come pick me up.

Yesterday, Beth was sleeping a bit late so Audrey and I went to do some shopping.  We stopped at a flea market to get her a back pack on wheels to use as her carry on bag.  We got a back scratcher for Beth and a couple of puzzle books for me.

Then we went to JoAnn's to get some more beads and new  yarn.  Next we picked up a few groceries at WalMart, then went home.  After lunch we settled in for an afternoon of more crafts.  In between crafts, the girls did a couple loads of laundry.

I have these photos from yesterday to share.  We took them in front of the WalMart.  This first one is me in one of my comfy mu mu's, holding Pogo.

This one, I took with too much shade so I tried to lighten the photo enough to make out Audrey's face.  Next time I'll know better not to stand in the shade.

This one is a close up of Audrey.  I kept trying to fix those funny squiggly lines all around her head.  I didn't know what had caused them and I wasn't having any luck getting rid of them.  DUH!  In the background, there are two trees directly behind where Audrey is standing.  Those squiggles are the branches of one of those three!!!

I've been getting tired a lot more easily lately.  Last night I went to bed fairly early and woke up at six o'clock this morning.  Wowsie!  Pogo is getting old too.  He's been doing a lot of sleeping. When the patio door is open, he enjoys going out there and finding a spot in the sun to lay down and have his nap.  Would you believe, he's going to be thirteen years old next month?

Tomorrow night we'll all be setting our clocks ahead an hour, and in less than two weeks it will be Spring.  Now if only we could stop all those nasty storms.  The weather really is changing quite a bit from when I was very young.  We never had so many destructive storms back then.

Last night, I started crocheting a shawl.  I only had to rip it out three or four times before I started to get it right.  It's a tricky pattern, not hard, but it keeps this old brain on its toes.  Now there's a picture for you!  A brain with toes!  I'm getting dotty in my old age.  My shawl doesn't look like much yet, but if it starts looking like a shawl, I'll take a photo to share.

The Weather Channel says that it is snowing from Kentucky across to Washington D.C.  There's a large band of rain right behind the snow that dips down into all the states below that area.  Old Man Winter just doesn't want to let go, does he.

Well, I'm hearing voices coming from upstairs so I guess the girls are awake now.  Audrey is cooking us a super breakfast this morning, so it's time for me to go.  We are having omelets, toast, juice and coffee, oh my!  Now I'm hungry!

If you haven't heard from me on your comments, I'll get there.  My little laptop is just as slow as I am but by the time I get home, I'll be getting caught up with all my blog reading.

Before I go I want to share this information for any of you who read Lavender Dreams blog.  I copied this from her blog (with her permission).

You can imagine how devastating this has been to me. I appreciate my sweet hubby taking the time to help me start a new blog. But can I ask all of you to do me a favor? Will you please put a sentence or two in your next post to let people know where I am and what has happened to me? You can say that my blog was unfairly removed by Blogger and we are trying our best to get it back, but for now I will post updates on the process here:

lavenderdreamsnew.blogspot.com

And also a plea to Blogger to bring back lavenderdreamstoo. We're a supportive community! Maybe they will listen if we all voice our consternation together!Thank you, Lavender Dreamer Diane

Now I'm off.  So, till Sunday, Y'all have an awesome weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

I agree back in the day the weather wasn't like it is today. Nor were the people. I assume God is tired of all the chaos that is going on in this world and he is trying to get his people attention. I finally went to the grocery store yesterday and as I was leaving this stupid woman walked behind my car. It wasn't anyone there when I loaded my grocery and got in my car. I looked in my mirror, so I know she kept walking up on my car when I was backing out. She cursed me for whatever and I did the same to her and she started coming toward me and then I pulled my pistol from under my seat and I assume God pushed her on her way. I went on and left the parking lot because trouble is very easy to get in and hell to get out of. This was a very young lady and at my age, I am not rolling on the ground with you. People doesn't have respect for each other anymore and it's the young people who seem to have all the problems. And trying to abuse the elderly. God doesn't want this going on in his world. So I think he is rattling minds with the weather trying to make the evil take notes and correct their lives. Have a great day and continue the enjoyment.
