Storm Harper Is Coast To Coast Wickedness

January 18, 2019

Good morning.  Tis a little after seven and I've been awake for quite a while.  No problem though, I just tuned in to the Liquidation Channel (ShopLC).  Oh my, as much as I love watching all the pretty things on sale, it is quite tempting to pick up the phone and place an order.  But I did not!

Some of the items on this channel are soooo pretty, and the prices just can't be beat!  The best day for shopping is Friday.  They call it Under $10 Friday because everything is $9.99, and sometimes less.  Their shipping & handling price is low too, only $2.49 per item.  For persons making lots of purchases, they have a one time shipping fee that covers all orders for the day.  If you try them out, have fun!

Now, though, I'm going to switch over to the Weather Channel.  I'm trying to get a clearer picture of what to expect for weather this weekend.  So far, I've heard everything from lots of snow, lots of ice pellets, lots of rain and a lot of maybes. Storm Harper is getting closer so maybe it will be easier to see what we'll be getting from it.

Temps right now are at 20F degrees and cloudy.  Later today we might make it up to the mid thirties before the temps drop again.  We might even get a speck of sunshine today.  We'll just have to wait and see.

Well yesterday afternoon I decided to make brownies in my new cake pan.  I have a really nice Copper Chef cake pan that I wanted to try out.  I mostly wanted to try the pocket cake.

My brownies could have used a couple more minutes in the oven, but still they tasted pretty good.  I loved the pockets on the top.  I filled these with whipped cream when I served the brownie.  I tried them out on two of the dwarfs, Joe and Mikey.  And me!  Not bad, I must say.

Oh my, the weather man is forecasting 8 to 12 inches of snow for Boston area.  Plus the sleet and ice and rain.  It is not looking so good.  I just feel bad for folks who have to be out on the road.  I'm hoping we don't get any power outages in our area.  There is bitter cold coming in right behind the storm so we definitely need our heat to stay on.

Wowsie, more than 90 million Americans are under storm watch right now.  This storm is one nasty critter!

Well, that's it for today.  So till Sunday, Y'all have a fantabulous weekend, and STAY SAFE!

Hugs, Edna B.

Here to weh have a drop in temperature, not too much but it feels a lot colder than a week ago. Here also hoping the cold will not stay for too long!
Great that you already have booked for the plain for Florida.
Now yes, (sigh) first there have to be done the taxes. Better you try to do them as soon and quick as possible and get it done with.
Isn;t there anyone who could help you with this so that you can send it sooner to your accountant? Would be nice.
Well, good luck a a lot of strength for it, and when done with you have the fantastic looking forward to your trip to Florida, yuppeeeeeee!

Stay safe and warm my friend! I love your sweet comments at my blog and enjoy your friendship so much. We are suppose to get more snow Monday and the hubby has the day off due to the holiday. We have been getting lots done around the house. Wanted to work in the garage but not warm enough right now. Rebekah and Zach took the puppies to get their nails clipped and their teeth cleaned. They look so polished and handsome and pretty. I have a few more stops to make to friends and then a new blog post to put up.
Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
I believe your Patriot's are in KC for the game but we heard it is going to be zero. Brrrrrr........I just hope both games will be fair and no one is injured and all will be well. Too cold for me to sit outdoors. I will enjoy from the comfort of my living room. Hee Hee Hee!
Hope you and Pogo enjoy a wonderful SONday and terrific new week. Take care. Love and Hugs

You are getting a worse storm than we are. We are expecting 1-3 inches of snow topped with ice and temperatures in the teens. It doesn't look good for either of us. Praying for the best.
