Only 5 Degrees, BRRR!

January 21, 2019

Good morning.  It's not quite seven o'clock and the temperature is 5F degrees.  During the day we may even get up to 7F degrees.  Oh joy, oh joy!  The temperature with the wind chill factor is -14F degrees.

Well, it rained most all day yesterday.  I took a nap in the afternoon and while I was sleeping, it must have rained a layer of sleet on top of everything.  Joe and a couple other dwarfs had shoveled the whole driveway, and it was covered with a layer of ice when I got up from my nap.

My car was covered with a thin layer of ice and icicles.

I just started my car to make sure she is still running, and yup!  She started right up!  I am not going out today but I do worry for everyone who has to be on the roads today.  I'm watching the weather forecast and they are saying that we have another wicked cold front coming through later in the week.  Aye yi yi yi yi!

I was asked by a reader how many beads my new bracelets took.  It all depends on the size of the beads and the size of the bracelet.  Here's what I used for the ones I already made:  Pink - 66, Green - 70, Black - 89, Lt. Blue - 77.   I also have charms to hang from one end of the bracelet.  At least, that's what I'm planning.  I may have to have some help bending the wire ends because my hands just aren't as strong as they used to be.  We'll see when my new pliers get here.

Would you like to meet a friend of mine?  This is Raffee.  He's an adorable giraffe and his special talent is massaging my neck and shoulders.

I have some cute photos of him to share, but I'll save them for tomorrow's post.  My grandson Kevin gave him to me a couple years ago.  Raffee is oh so soft and cuddly; and oh my, he makes my neck and shoulders feel sooo good!

Now I'm off to make a fresh cup of coffee.  Unfortunately, if I don't drink it up right away, it doesn't stay warm very long.  I may even heat up a bowl of pasta for Pogo and me.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day and STAY WARM!

Hugs, Edna B.

Well I can't complain too much about my cold weather, it doesn't compare to yours:) Cute little giraffe and it sounds like he works hard to give you a massage. Enjoy your day dear friend, stay safe and warm! HUGS!

Oh boy, that is cold. I am thinking 39 is cold and 49. I am inside because of those temps. Stay inside until all the ice melt. It's dangerous trying to drive out there. Keep my Pogo under his blankets. Have a good day.

I was complaining about the frigid weather this morning, 21 degrees and snow-covered landscape.
We were to stay in this freeze for the next couple of days, but guess what, it's now 43 degrees and sunshine :)
It's times like this that I'm happy the forecasters got it wrong.
Stay warm and cozy !
Hugs,
