God Bless Bag Balm

December 13, 2018

Good morning.  Tis gray and cold here, just 22F degrees.  It's to be expected though with Winter only eight days away.  Ever notice how Winter always seems to come early and leave very late?  Hmm. it doesn't seem fair, does it?  I'd rather have Spring come early and have Autumn stay longer.

Well, I finally made it to the Post Office yesterday with a batch of boxes, padded envelopes and Christmas cards.  Joe carried everything in for me.  Thank you, I really appreciate this help very much.

I don't have to go out today, so I think I'll finish up the rest of the boxes that need to be mailed, and then I'll get started on the local wrapping.  Woo Hoo!  I think I'm okay now!  I'm even starting to get in the Christmas spirit.  You know, I guess I could buy less stuff or make fewer things for gifts, but Christmas has always been a time when I like to go overboard.  It makes my heart happy, so I guess I'll probably never change.

That surprise gift that Pogo ordered for me is supposed to arrive next Monday.  Pogo has already laid down the law.  I'm not to even think of opening the box before Christmas.  This is going to be a tough one for me.  I am very nosey.  Plus I will be on pins and needles waiting to see what is in the box.  Pogo is smart though, and will be keeping a close eye on me, I'm sure.

Last night, Pogo's little behind was itching and irritated, and Pogo was very uncomfortable.  He just couldn't get comfortable any where.  Finally, I took him into the bathroom and put a thick coating of Bag Balm on his little hiney, and then I gave him some Children's Benadryl.   After that, he was able to curl up in his blankets and fall asleep.  (Sadly, I think I waited too long to get him to the groomer to have his little sac emptied.  I won't make that mistake again!)  This morning, he is lying next to me, all curled up in his blanket.

Today I have a set of quick pages that I made for a collaboration kit many years ago.  I hope you can use them.  If there is a problem with the link, let me know and I'll re-upload them and get a new link.

I came across an ad yesterday for a great sale on copper pans.  They were $8 a piece, with free shipping.  So I looked it up and was able to get a few of the pans I've been wanting.  The website is copperchefdeals.com.

Now I think I'm going to make a fresh cup of coffee and do a bit of blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Oh, what did Pogo get you? I'm sure it's something fantastic because he has such good taste. Poor little boy. I'm glad he finally settled down. It's hard with our little furry children because they can't tell us in words what is wrong.

Have a wonderful day and I hope you get all your Christmas stuff done. I think I might actually be making a dent in mine.

Tell Pogo he's not alone with problems...(lol) I've been cramping very bad in my feet and hands and just been feeling fatigued for 2 weeks. Finally, yesterday (Wednesday) I made it to the grocery store and the drug store to get my meds. I am very stressed today because everything is getting out of hand with the prices. My home insurance went up more, and my property taxes did too for 2019. I has to pay 15 percent of my part d medicare premium starting in 2019. Medicare part b went up another dollar. My sister is trying to give me some encouragement but I've been down and out today. I wish I could work and I know things will be better but you have to do what you can when you can't work. I feel like trying to go out and find a job. I know I can't do Insurance anymore because of all the driving that goes with it. Just have to keep the faith and prayers. The world is flipping with greed. Everyone want more money. I know back in the day life wasn't this complicated and we didn't have very much. Now whatever you have, someone is trying to get part of it. I live in isolation now. I can vent all day long but have a great day.(lol)

I'm finally getting some quiet time and catching up on my blog reading. Perhaps I'll even (gasp) try posting one soon. It's been so stinking busy lately but things seem to be getting calmer.
