Georgie Porgie, That's Me

December 19, 2019

Good afternoon.  Wowsie, I got up early because the burner guy was coming by to give me an estimate on the plumbing in the basement.  Well, I'm getting an estimate, but it won't be for the plumbing.
It seems that my burner is leaking from underneath it.  The leak comes from inside.  It's a "has to be fixed now" problem.  It means, need new furnace,  Also, the hot water heater has to be replaced too.  I don't need to tell you that I almost choked on that news!

I could be looking at figures around the ten thousand dollar mark.  The burner guy called the company that made the furnace, and there's a chance some of the work might be covered by a warranty.  We'll see.  He will let me know as soon as he finds out what is what.  Yeesh!  That plumbing estimate is just going to have to wait a bit.  The furnace always comes first .

You know, it's a good thing my hubby was always a very organized person.  The manufacturing company wants something to prove that I was the owner of this house before the furnace was purchased in 2008.  That meant I had to find an old tax bill from the year 2007.  I put my hand into a bag of old bills, and pulled out some paid 2007 real estate tax bills.  Just call me "Georgie Porgie."  Stuck in my thumb, and pulled out a plum.

With all this jolly news under my belt, I left to get Jazzy and take her to the college.  She will have to call Uber to take her home after her classes.  Actually, she is taking finals all this week.  I have tons of stuff to do.  When I got home from the college, I started right in on my wrapping.  So that's what I'm doing now (before I sat down to type this post).  I'm up to my elbows in wrapping paper, ribbons, tags, tissue paper and boxes.

Obviously, I haven't had a chance to sit down and play on my laptop.  So, I don't have a new quick page for today.  But I do have an old scrap kit that I can give you.  There are two quick pages included in the kit.  This kit is my part of a collab kit that I made with my friend Suruha,   It is fun and might help take your mind off the winter weather.

Here are your download links:  (any problems, let me know)

Here is the answer to yesterday's puzzle.  There is a button missing from the mole's jacket. (bottom left corner of original puzzle)

The answer to Monday's puzzle might have been a bit confusing.  The correct answer shoe is the second one down on the right (of the original puzzle).  It is missing the tag on the back of the shoe.  Sorry if I confused you.

Now I really must get back to my wrapping.  I'm hoping to get it all finished by tonight or tomorrow.  Wish me luck!  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

P.S.  Silly me, it wasn't Georgie Porgie who stuck his thumb in his pie, it was Little Jack Horner.

"Little Jack Horner, sat in a corner, eating a Christmas pie.  He stuck in his thumb, and pulled out a plum, and said what a good boy am I."  By Mother Goose

When it rain it pours....trouble lurking from every angle. My day is going great today. The thugs are in hiding after I had to go crazy on them yesterday. (lol) The Seargent from the constable department called me this morning and I explained to him what I think is going on. It's something they are into and they are trying to make whomever pick them up and drop them off think they live at my address. That happen before when this thug gave the policeman my address because they told me he had kidnapped his girlfriend. I am seldom outside and they think I am not watching them but my camera have an alarm on it and when you get to my property line it goes off. Each corner of my house has a camera. I am not into drugs or gangs and I will not accept trouble in front of my home. He said he would step up patrol. So thing is going to get better for us both. Have a great day..you and Pogo

Real bad news about the repair and plumbing. Gosh, that is a lot of money. If possible, spread a bit the cost, so obviously the furnace first(hoping for you there is a warrant pay for it, or at least partly) and then if it can wait, you can do the plumbing later in the year.
Isn;t it sometimes almost hoeless, having an own house? There are always things to do, and when you know you can plan, but there aso are always the unexpected. YAK!!!
Glad you are almost done with the wrapping and sending now. You should get some relaxing time now.

love the little squirrel photo, so cute.

Just a few more days and it already will be Christmas and we can open up our presents. It's already a feaste to seen them arranged around and under the Christmastree.

We have okay weather here, sometimes some rain, sometimes a little bit of sun, temperatures 7-8C(in weekend even 10 or 11C), and I am happy with it.

Wishing you a wonderful day,
till the weekend!
Hug
Kyra

The sun is shining here and the wind is blowing. Its 56 degrees here and we are loving it. I hate it when summer get here. I doesn't want your winters either. (lol) I thought Deana was Jazzy until I kept reading. She's pretty like her mother. By the way the s&h green stamps did get us lots of pretty little things. My mom use to get fabric with them and make us dresses. I really miss those days because it is just too much greed going on in this world today. The more money they get, the more money they want from you and everyone else. They get all you have and still they are not satisfied. If they had to live like we did they wouldn't know how to make it. It's good to appreciate your life for the growth that God give you, but I wouldn't mind going back to my childhood again. You and Pogo have a very blessed day and yes Christmas is around the corner. If there's any misspelled words, look over me this morning because I am not seeing very well.
