Tis A Really Super Nice Day Today

July 22, 2018

Good morning.  Today is another super nice day here in New England.  The sun isn't out yet, and there are some puddles on the ground (from overnight rain), but the coolness of the air feels oh so good.  Today will stay in the upper seventies with maybe some thunder showers.

Well, my boys seem to be doing nicely.  I want to thank everyone for their good wishes.  Sean is feeling a bit better and accepting company.  Hopefully, Janet and I will be going to visit with him today.  Jack Jack is home and doing well.  He is loving his new book on Forensics.

So, what have I been up to these past couple days?  Not much.  Although I did do a bit of shopping (on TV).  QVC usually has a great sale this time of year.  They call it Christmas In July.  And of course, I found a couple things that I could use.

One was an umbrella (Better Brella).  I don't have a photo of it yet, and the other item is a bird feeder/bird fountain.  The prices were great, so how could I refuse?  Here's a photo I took from the TV screen of the bird feeder/fountain.  The fountain is battery operated.  I just thought it would be a nice addition to the little garden near my porch.

I also have a photo to share of my whole tomato crop.  So far.  There are tons of yellow flowers on the plants, so I'm hoping to have lots more tomatoes.  However small this current crop is, I am going to enjoy eating them tonight with my supper.

Pogo has been getting rather picky about his food lately (what else is new?).  I meant to thaw out some steak to cook for our supper last night, but I forgot.  So, Joe went to the market and picked me up a roasted chicken.  Pogo licked his plate clean!

DIL Janet just phoned me to say that we are definitely going to visit with Sean today.  Now I have to call the hospital to find out what the visiting hours are.  He has been moved from intensive care to a regular surgical ward so I'll also have to ask what his room number is.

Today I have a new quick page for you.  This one should be fun for my friends in England, or for any vacation photos that you may have taken when you visited there.  Have fun with it.

Now I'm off to wash up the dishes and make a couple phone calls.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.
