Tis Cherry Blossom Time (Here)

May 8, 2018

Good morning.  It's really pretty outside but tis cold.  The temperature is up to fifty degrees (it was only 48F degrees when I started this post), and hopefully will make it up to the low seventies later on this morning.

I did not sleep more than a couple of winks last night because I was worried about the bug spraying that is scheduled for sometime today.  This is a new company that I've hired to come in every three weeks and spray for ticks, fleas and mosquitos.  I had so many questions about the product that they will be using.  My main concern is to make sure it will not hurt any of our birds and small critters.

A little while ago, I finally called the company to ask about the spray and whether or not it will hurt the wildlife in my yard.  The nice lady reassured me that it would not hurt any of them.  I hope not.  This is nesting season for a lot of the birds, and I worry for them.

I do have to try to get rid of the mosquitos and ticks and fleas though.  I'm allergic to insect bites and Pogo is super allergic to fleas.  He even takes two different flea medications from April through October.  The other months, he takes just one of the medications.

I got a lovely surprise a few days ago,  The cherry blossom tree that I planted a few years ago is full of blossoms and is just beautiful!  It has really grown quite tall.  Here are a couple of photos that I just went out back and took.

Pogo and I will be indoors today until it warms up more, so I think I'll do a bit of laundry.  I'll do a load of Pogo's blankets.  I like to keep them fresh because he sleeps with his face buried in the blanket.  Then I'll do a load of my clothes and probably a load of towels, etc.  Well, at least that's the plan.

Yesterday I spent some time on my laptop making more quick pages.  This is so relaxing and the time just gets away from me.  A few days ago, I bought a sketch pad and some pencils so that when it is warm enough to sit out on the porch for a while, I can try my hand at doodling.  When I was very young, I used to love to draw, mostly fashions and models though.

For those of you who make scrap pages, Tiny Turtle Designs is having a great sale.  Most all kits are 59 cents, and if you email her your receipt, she'll send you a coupon for that same amount towards
more kits.  I do believe the sale is over tomorrow though.

Well, now I think I'll get busy and start some of that laundry.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Yes, you have to be careful about what they spray in the garden. Bees are dying because of chemicals that are being sprayed. And without bees we wouldn't have a lot of things we take for granted. The cherry blossoms are also in full bloom here.Your little tree looks lovely ! Try pinterest for doodle ideas. Just type in doodles on the search bar and you will find links with "how to" instructions galore. The great thing is, you can have the app on your tablet or phone and sit outside while you doodle :)
I spend hours on there pinning ideas to my own albums.
