Just A Bit Of "Granny Bragging"

May 14, 2018

Good morning.  Today is looking quite lovely outside my door.  The sun is shining and there's a little breeze.  My flag is doing a slow, happy dance.  Temps are in the fifties, and headed for the seventies.  Yup, it's a lovely day to be alive.

Yesterday, DIL Janet came by with a big planter full of beautiful flowers.  I'll have to take a photo of it later to share.  It's heavy, so I think I'll put it on the tall plant stand on my porch.  It's in the corner and gets a lot of nice sunshine.  I'll take the begonia plant that's there now and put it in the greenhouse until it grows big enough to blossom.  Then I'll hang that pot so that the begonia blossoms can hang downward.

I spent time on my laptop yesterday resizing some of the photos from Saturday night.  Here are some of my favorites.  This first one is Jazzy, of course, and her two grandmas.  Yup, that's me on the left,   (I almost didn't recognize myself) and Judy on the right.

Next is the proud Mama, Deanne, and Jazzy.  Then the proud Papa, Eddie, with Jazzy.

Here we have Jazzy with two of her cousins, (my great grandchildren) Lilah and Jack.  Lilah is another aspiring star.  She loves performing on stage, and the stage loves her.  Jack helped me all the way outside when it was time to leave.  He's such a wonderful young man.

Last, but not least, I cropped Jazzy out of one of the photos and blurred the background.  I guess this is my favorite photo.  (I do have one more, but I haven't finished removing the background from it yet.)

So I guess you can see why I'm always bragging about my family.  I'm just so very proud of them all.  The grandchildren and the great grandchildren all have such wonderful dreams for their futures. I hope they all come true for them.  Watching them all work towards their goals makes these old eyes so very happy.

Okay, enough of my babble for today.  I'm thinking that I could use a fresh cup of coffee, and I'd like to take it out on the porch and just sit and watch the birds for a while.  I have a few more plants to bring out to the greenhouse (my house plants), plus it's also time to hang the big spider plant outdoors on the porch.

I need to make up a grocery shopping list, and I'll add a couple new plant hangers to the list.  Maybe I can pick up a few groceries later today.  We'll see.  I'm off now.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

The show was fabulous- I'm sad that it's over. So glad that you ( and Judy ) got to see jazzy perform at her best. I'm in awe of her every time I watch her perform .

Brag away, Grandma. You have reason too. Jazzy is so talented!

Hope you get all your gardening done. Now if it would only not rain on the days I have time to get outside, maybe my weeding will actually happen.
