Another Pretty Day In Fla Fla

March 7, 2018

Good morning.  The sun is shining and the temperature is 67F degrees, on it's way upward to the mid seventies.  Awesome!

I've been following the weather reports for back home, and it's just not nice.  The weather forecasters aren't quite sure just what the weather has planned for the areas south of Boston.  I'll have to call home later to see what is really happening.

I have been making a few calls from here to see about getting tree folks out to my house for an estimate on removing the tree,  After that, I can worry about  getting the roof, etc. fixed.  So far, the insurance adjuster has made one trip out to the house.

Sadly, I'm not having much luck getting any of the tree folks out there.  One came and left an estimate that is wicked high. They will only remove the tree from the house.  They don't  cut up the wood, remove the wood or cover the roof with a tarp.  All this for only $4500.00.  I definitely need more estimates.

Yesterday, we went to a local flea market for a while, and then on to the new Walmart for a few groceries that we needed.  Naturally, I had forgotten to bring my shopping list, so I still forgot a few items.   Since I was here last year, a brand new Walmart Super store has been built almost right across the street.  Wow!  How convenient!  Now I don't have to drive to the other end of town to get to Walmart.

So far, Beth is sticking to her new "quit smoking" regime.  I guess the real test will come when she goes home.  I hope  she can stick to it long enough to able to say "no" to the urge.   Here's a photo of Beth that I took last night.  We were doing things on our computers while we listened to  the Weather Channel.

Beth did not bring a hobby with her (crocheting, etc) so maybe we can take a ride after lunch to JoAnn's Fabric store (yup, there's one here!) and see what they have that looks like fun.

I do have a new quick page for  you today.  This one is for all you folks born in the month of March.  Your birthstone is beautiful Aquamarine.

Your download link is:
Expired

Now it's time for me to get dressed and hopefully we can head out soon for a new adventure today.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have an awesome day!

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,
What a lovely QP. Thank you. I am glad that we are together and thank you for inviting me again this year.
I am content just being here but a trip to Joann's might be fun. Hugs, Beth

Hello! No, I did not drop off the face of this earth! I have just NOT been in the mood to BLOG, scrapbook, read or anything else you might think of! I was on some medications that kept my life in harmony, that MEDICARE thinks is not good for "old" people and advised my physician to stop refilling it or lose compensation to his office (not even if I pay cash for it)....so....that harmony was interrupted and it is taking me a while to get ADJUSTED, especially my attitude! Now I think I am back on the road to becoming civil again and will be back into the fun real soon.
So, very sorry you home was damaged in the storms, so thankful that no one suffered any injuries! very happy for you and Pogo to get to fly out to FL for your annual visit! It is so very nice to have someone as dependable as you do! Enjoy your fun time and face the rest when you return. Thanks for the lovely gifts from you. Have a great Vacation! Hugs, Mat

So bad, you are having to deal with problems back home while on vacation. Trust things get better soon. Take care.
