Is All Progress Really Progress?

November 8, 2017

Good morning.  Goodness, I slept late so now I'm running out of morning.  As I sit here and look out my door, I'm seeing a lot more yellow leaves on the big trees out front.  However, because they stayed green so long into the season, a lot of the leaves have already fallen to the ground.  I'll have to go out and take a photo later on.

There was a lovely surprise in my email this morning.  My friend Beth made a lovely scrap page featuring a photo of my Laura Jean.  Beth, it is beautiful.  Thank you so much.

I want to thank those of you who sent me your blog address.  When I finish posting today, I'm going to be visiting your blogs.  As for the Google Plus problems, I know of some other folks who use this version of Google, and they are having problems sharing too.  Hmmm, I guess I'll just stay with the old Google Blogger.  Sometimes change and progress don't work out so good.

For those of you who have fur babies, are you like me?  Do you talk to them?  If I have to go out and leave Pogo at home, I give him a kiss and tell him to watch the house for Mommy.  When I come back home, I hug him and tell him what a great job he did watching the house for me.  In turn, he showers me with doggie hugs.  It feels wonderful.

In going through one of my new catalogues, I found this fabulous tee shirt.  It says it all.  Have you ever noticed that when you talk to animals, they actually seem to be listening to you?  Well, I think they are.  The tone of our voice and how we say the words says a lot to our furry (and feathery) friends.

I've been working on the lavender afghan, but I don't really have enough of it done yet to take a photo.  But here are the yarns that I'm using, Lavender, Lime and Jeweled.  The colors are a little darker than they are showing in the photo.

I think today I'm going to read the next chapter in my lesson book.  My books seem to take a back burner when I have yarn to play with, but I'll have to be setting aside some time in the afternoon a few days a week for my lesson books.  I have the DVD's, so if my eyes don't feel like reading, I can listen to the lesson.

Now I think I need to wash the few dishes that are in the sink and maybe have a fresh cup of coffee while I watch "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire."  A young woman contestant just went home with $750,000.  Wowsie!!

Well, that's my news for today.  I'm off to the sink!  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I love that shirt, I think I'm going to have to find one for me and my daughter.
My husband thinks we're a little peculiar because we talk to our pets like they're humans.

I do not have any pets right now, but I have had cats in the past. They really do become your babies. I used to talk to them and tell them Mommy would be home after work and be a good girl, etc.

I love the colors you have chosen for your afghans. I love knitting and crocheting. I hope to have completed something (anything?) soon to be able to post a picture of. I just need the time to knit!

Good Morning,
I can see a bit better today. You would be proud of me. I didn't cry! Well almost but I did shake a lot afterwards because it was painful. I took a pain pill before the injections and I know that it helped.

Love the t-shirt. I talk to Cisco all the time. Oh and the yarn is so pretty!
Going to try and catch up on my blog and hope that I can finish it before I give my eyes a break.
Hugs to you and Pogo from me and Cisco. xx Have a wonderful day my friend. Call me when you have a chance. xx Love Beth and Cisco
