Farewell To June

June 30, 2017

Good morning.  Well, say goodbye to the month of June tonight.  Tomorrow we'll be starting a brand new month and the second half of this year.  Tis a bit gray outside right now, and the temperature is 72F degrees.  The forecast says we may get some rain today, and the temps will get up into the mid 80's later this afternoon.  I hope we get the rain because we sure could use it.

Oh oh, Pogo is at the door barking.  There's no one out there, but I did see a white pickup truck go by rather slowly.  Pogo does not like white pickup trucks!  When one comes too close, he barks ferociously.  This must have something to do with memories from his first six years.

Today I'm going to attempt going shopping solo, just me and Pogo.  I really do need to get a few things done.  There's no one around to go with me, so solo it is.  I hope this works out good because next week I have to go out solo to take Pogo to his salon appointment and then again to pick him up.

Remember I said that I'd take a photo of the queen size bed spread that DIL Janet is making for her sister for Christmas?  Well, here it is.  It's really coming along quite nicely.  I think she's about half done with it.  Wow, her sister is going to love it!

I was going through the latest NRA America's 1st Freedom Magazine and I came across this ad.  The new patterns may be a little bit outrageous, but I kind of like the little pink camo handgun.

Another interesting thing that I found in this magazine was an ad for the latest book of all the different state gun laws.  This is a must have, so I ordered a copy.  It's good to stay current with all the latest rules and laws.

Today I have a new quick page for you.  Yup, another nature lover's page.  Have fun.  I hope you can use it.

And here is your download link:

Well, I've finished my nebulizer meds, so it's time to get dressed and think about getting out to do a few errands.  Later this afternoon, I can give my Donald Trump chia plant some water.  It had to sit for a couple days to make sure all the seeds were stuck in place.  I can't wait to see how this plant looks once it starts growing.

On that happy note, I'm off.  So, till Sunday, Y'all have a fantabulous weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

That bedspread Janet is making looks amazing.
She will need a lot of time making it. At the moment I have no projects on the knitting or crocheting gront.
Perhaps I will start one again in autumn or so.
Take it easy on your solo trip with Pogo. But I think it is a good thing to try it. If it isn+t a too long trip, I think you will do okay.
Have a wonderful day and good trip.
Hugs
Kyra

Hi Edna,

Thank you for the QP. I have some photos of my friends daughters and thought of making some pages for her. This one will be really cute.

I hope that you got the rain. It is dry here but it is normal for us this time of year. Of course we sure would love some of your temps as they sound so nice to be able to sit out. It is too muggy here to be out for any period of time for me. Early morning and late evening is ok if I can dodge the mosquitoes.

I can't wait to see what your chia plant of Donald Trump's head of hair will look like. You will have to take pictures of the process as it starts to grow.. It will be fun to watch and see.

Janet's spread is just gorgeous. Her sister will love it for sure. I just love the colors. Have you bought the red yarn yet to start the Valentine hats for the babies at the hospital yet? How many do you think that you will be able to make or should make?

I need to work on my blog today while I feel good and have some time. We are thinking of going somewhere. Just not sure exactly where.

They have a lake here that has a huge movie screen and everyone can bring or rent their own floats and watch the movie while laying on their floats in the lake. Guess what movie they are showing? JAWS.... Ha Ha... I am not sure how relaxing that would be while in the water lol.. I bet that they will have someone with shark fins floating about hee hee. Now I would like to go and do something like that but my kids say "NO WAY". I am not sure what they charge for the event but I would still enjoy it. But that is just me.

Better go and find something to eat. Karyn brought me breakfast but I have put it off for a little while as I had to have coffee first.

Give Pogo lots of love from me and Cisco. Oh and Cisco approves of barking at the white truck! In fact Cisco says that anytime barking occurs it is for a good reason. Cisco likes to bark at the sunlight shadows that come thru the windows and barks to chase it away when the fans move the blinds! LOL... Have a fantastic day to the both of you... Love, Beth and Cisco.
