Furry Happy Pills

April 12, 2017

Good afternoon.  Today is not quite as warm as yesterday, but it is still a lovely day.  After I post here, Pogo and I are going to sit out on the porch for a while.

I am itching to drive my car again.  It's been so long since I've even been in it.  I'm hoping my handicap parking placard comes soon.  When it does, I'd like to be driving my car again.  I also need to clean the rest of my porch so that I can use the whole thing.  It needs a good vacuuming.  Maybe that's what I'll try to do this afternoon.

Joe has recently come into some super good luck.  He won a tidy sum with the lottery tickets, and it made it possible for him to buy himself a truck.  I can hardly wait to see it.  Joe is supposed to be bringing his new truck home with him tomorrow.  I'll be sure to get some photos.  Joe, I wish you lots of luck with your new vehicle.

It seems to be a healing time of year. My friends Beth and Kyra are both slowly getting back on their feet too.  Sunshine and warm temps seem to be good for everyone.  Toss in some dogs and cats and it becomes a recipe for healing.

I borrowed this image from the web, and thought it was quite appropriate for now.  Anyone with a fur baby will understand.  My high blood pressure in the hospital went right down to normal as soon as I got home and was able to hug my Pogo.  Simply magical!!

Ever since Joe gave Pogo a piece of steak for supper a couple days ago, Pogo has been ignoring his doggie food.  Hmmm, I'll have to learn from this.  The dog food is expensive, and I'm not going to be throwing it all out.  If Pogo doesn't eat his food in the first fifteen minutes, I'll  take it away and put it in the fridge.  This hurts me more than it hurts him.

Ah well, it's time to see if there's anything tasty in the fridge for lunch.  On that happy note, I'll take my leave.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,
A Big Congratulations to Joe on his windfall and new truck. I am sure that he will be very excited! I know that your itching to drive and that would be awesome for you and Pogo to get out and go for a ride. I was really surprised at Jonathan day before yesterday. He took Cisco to the store with him. He can't do that by himself again as he enjoyed the ride but tried to chase the customers out of the store. So he brought him back home and went back to the store. He just does not play well with others it seems. All he wants is to be petted but with him acting the way he does, others do not know that!

Please be careful trying to vacuum the porch. I know that it needs cleaning but I don't want to see you over exert yourself. Oh but how nice it would be to have everything clean and to just sit out and enjoy.

Karyn is on her way over to take me to the store. We are out of so much but we are just going to make this a fast shopping trip. I know what I want to make for dinner, I just don't know about lunch yet. It is past time for lunch now so I will be glad when she gets here.

Hugs and have an awesome day... Loves Loves Loves to you and Pogo.... xx Beth and Cisco.

I know exactly what you mean about furbabies being a saving grace! I haven't been in the hospital but I have been in "just shoot me now” mode on UTI house arrest. Marco, my empathy cat, spends a lot of his time curled up next to my feet. I'm dying to feel more like going outside than sleeping now. I did get out yesterday for lunch with my niece and her friend. The weather was nice although a little nippy. But spending a little time with Rina helped me feel a lot better than I have been.

Kaline is the lay on or next to me type, but Carla hugs. I wonder if she fights hypertension as well as Pogo does. ;)

I hope you and I, and Beth and Kyra, are all on full mend from this years strange Spring torture soon!

Hugs, Nani

I missed this post on catching up, dumbo me.
Now also understand how Joe suddenly had this new car.
Lucky little devil he was! Wishing him good driving and good luck in it!
Althugh your heart is good enough for it, don;t put some nice hamburger pieces or other stuff on Pogo's doggie good! You see what happens now.
Oh, he will get back on eating his doggie food again, the moment he gets real hungry again and then you just have to stick by it.
Better to give him once in a while a little treat in between his meals, you know.
Our pets are soooo clever, they seem to know that we feel sorry for them if they don't eat their doggie(or cat) food for a while so that we surrender and give them more of the more "tasty"food. it is difficult not to do so, but stya firm !
Okay, on to my b log now I suppose.
Hugs
Kyra
