Oh, The Woes Of Senior Health Insurance

January 26, 2017

Good afternoon.  No, I did not sleep late today.  I've spent the whole morning on the phone with my health insurance company and my doctor's office.  DIL Janet went to pick up my meds yesterday, and for some reason the pharmacy did not fill all of them with the right amounts.

I also found out that because I have a new insurance company this year, I will need to get prior authorizations for a lot of my meds.   Wow, anything to screw up my meds and payments.  After spending more than two hours on the phone with the insurance company, I was able to get a lot of this taken care of.  (I hope)

The mailman should be here in another hour or so, and then Pogo and I will go out to buy his food.  Hopefully, any rain that may be on the radar will hold off until we get back home.  Later, I'll cook the goulash that I was going to make last night.  DIL Janet and I decided last night to have pizza for our supper.

The mailman just got here.  Be back shortly..........Well, I got the mail, and distributed the dwarfs' mail to them.  While I was out in the main house, I noticed an article on their newspaper.  (a different newspaper than the one that I get.)  There's a huge story about how our governor and mayor are going to house illegals in the City Hall building.  Marty Walsh says he will also refuse any federal moneys paid to us taxpayers if it means turning away the illegals.  The illegals will all be supported with our (us taxpayers) money.

Mr. Walsh, why not just have all the illegals live at your own exquisite abode, and support them all with your own personal funds?  With the big fat pay raises the State politicians are giving themselves soon, you all should be able to take on the cost of the illegals using only your paychecks, and still have enough money left over to live on.

This topic is about to bring on another rant, so I'll just take my leave here and get ready to take Pogo shopping.  I'm going to be needing that two week vacation in Florida just to give my mind a rest.  Here's what Pogo and I will be looking out at in a few weeks.  Ohhh, I love those palm trees!!

That's it for today.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I can relate to your insurance woes. The coverage I have had for years now is all changed up. It has been the biggest mess and still not sure what it covers. Guess I will find out when I go to the doctor.

What a mess to be busy with your medications and the insurance company to be sure you get all you need
I fear so much it will change here too in time, for the bad.
It is a problem, to house illegals, I guess.
and I think there is a difference between real refugees and illegals
Here we have quite a big number of refugees, a lot from Syria at the moment and Iraq and such. Still lots of them are in camps in Greece under very poor circumstances. Seeing them and hearing their different stories sometimes really ackes your heart.
Sometimes the world is a lovely place but there are large parts that are terrible to live.
why do have people to make war, bossing over other people that even didn;t ask for it, causing drama;s and fear and dispair and hunger too. Never will understand it
Okay, I will have to do some errands and then will try out my new vacuum cleaner.
Have a nice day
