Good News To Share

January 15, 2017

Good morning.  It's early so I don't know yet if we'll have sunshine today or not.  Temps will be in the mid 30's.  I think they are supposed to go up a few degrees starting tomorrow.  Super!

How about an update on the new doggie food?  Well, the first little can just wasn't to Pogo's liking.  He wouldn't even give it a try.  So, out in the garbage it went.  But, would you believe that he has already eaten most all of the food in the other two little cans?

I told him that I would take him to the store sometime today to buy more of this particular brand.  I do believe it is Blue Buffalo's recipe for teeny tiny doggies.  Whatever it is, as far as I'm concerned it is pure gold as long as my little guy will eat it.

Well, Friday afternoon, Deanne and I went to the shooting range.  I must say, I didn't do to bad at all.  However, Deanne got a perfect score.  Woo Hoo!!  We go back in two weeks, and this time we'll be using a bigger pistol.  (a Glock)  I joined the NRA and signed up for their magazine so that I can keep current on gun laws and changes.  Now that Deanne has her license, she'll be joining too.

Today I'll start for real to work on my tax figures.  I'd like to get them done before the next two weeks are up.  So before I get started, I'll make sure I have my bottle of Excedrin Migraine on hand.  I'll be needing it.

For those readers who enjoy herbal teas, I borrowed this image from the web to share.  It explains why you should always have these five teas on hand.  Not only are they good for you, they are all very tasty.

I see the sun is shining now which means that it should be a good day for Pogo and me to get out to shop for doggie food.  Actually, Pogo doesn't really care why we are out, as long as we are out!  He loves riding in the car.  He loves shopping too because then he gets to meet lots of new people.

Well, that's my news for today.  I want to do a bit of blog reading before it's time to go shopping.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,
Congratulations on getting Pogo to eat something! I hope that it continues. He will hopefully adapt. He is a finicky little guy. I watched a video last night/early this morning where a dog wouldn't eat at all so the owner sits besides him and he eats out of his hand. At the end of the video the dog ate all the food out of the bowl. It has been a work in progress and he was rescued from a very abusive situation. Little by little the dog has grown from cowering in a corner to eating his food and then last night in the follow up he was actually playing and looking really heathy.

Oh it is wet and rainy here and just a blah day. I fed my birds and 5 minutes later it started raining. They are no where to be found and of course they are not going to eat soggy wet food. Oh well I do what I can.

I am so glad that you made it to the shooting range and had a great time. The NRA is a good organization to be in since you have your license. They will keep you up to date on all laws that change and interesting facts and stories.

I hate to run but I have to get a package ready to mail out and I cannot find my packing tape at all. I have been hunting this house up and down and now that I think about it I think that I gave it to Karyn when she moved to pack up some of her boxes.
Also took my living tree out of all the Christmas paper and took off the ornaments. It seems to be doing well but I have to get a bigger pot for it pretty soon as roots are coming out of the bottom.

Have a great day Edna. Cisco sends love and high fives... Love Beth and Cisco

Oh, good news about pogo's food Let's hope he will continue to eat it! And be careful......don;t give him anything else. perhaps in a few days, when he is used to eat just the tins, you can give him once in a while a little bacon or a something else he really likes(but just a few pieces of it, not a whole meal!).
Like a kind of reward, when he has eaten his food.
Sounds a good idea to get that special NRa magazin It is important to be well informed if you are handling guns.
Weather here is looking not too bad It will be cold, around 2 C, which isnlt much, next few days might be a bit colder and then it seems temps will creep up slowly a few degrees. All week we will have almost no wind, which is good.
As long as we have no snowfall and no frost, we can survive LOL..
Have to get out today to get us some bread and some catfood for Brodski. Not much needed, I will check the "storeroom"and fidge before going. And I will make us lasagna for dinner. Freshly made always tastes better(with own made bechamel sauce).
Have a lovely day(hope your task for the taxstuff will be smooth and short)
Hug
