Two Big Projects Finished!!

November 23, 2016

Good morning.  It's 39F degrees and sunny, with a little bit of wind.  There are a few straggling yellow leaves left on the big maple trees out front, but I'm sure this wind will bring down a lot of them.

Well, yesterday turned out to be a very accomplishing day.  I finished choosing and resizing all the photos for the calendar, then I designed my new Christmas card.  Actually, I made three different ones before finally choosing one to use.  It only took me almost four hours to do this.

Next, I went online to Vistaprint and ordered all my cards and calendars.  Woo Hoo!!  And the best part?  I had a coupon for a huge discount off my entire order.  Double Woo Hoo!!  Needless to say, I was a very happy camper last night.

After supper, I enjoyed a phone chat with a friend, then I worked on the Flamingo afghan.  The TV was entertaining, and I managed to put quite a few rows on the afghan before giving in to sleep.  Now there are only twenty four more rows to go till it is finished.  It looks like this coral beauty will be able to make it to its new home in time for Christmas.

I did not get around to taking cuttings from my plants yesterday, so I'll do it today.  I'll have to because the plants are sitting on my washing machine, and there'll be no laundry done until I finish getting the cuttings.

Today I also want to do some serious wrapping.  I need to have one package ready to go out in the mail next Monday.  There's more taxes due to be paid that day too.  Here's hoping the weather is good that day.    Pogo does not like being out in the rain.

Today's quick page is a simple one that I made using the "Giving Thanks" collab kit.  I hope you can use it.

Well, now it's time for me to get busy around here.  By the way, did I mention how delicious my turkey salad was, is?  Oh yum, yum, yum!  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,

Thank You for the QP... very nice and love the Turkey. Speaking of Turkey, your salad sounds so good. We are having chicken alfredo tonight for dinner. I will put our beans on to cook before I go to bed tonight and let them slow cook in the cooker.

It is wonderful that you have your projects finished. It is always good to accomplish your goals. It makes for a good feeling. I bet both of the afghan's are just beautiful.

I noticed that the patio door has a lot of fingerprints on it. Amazing that they don't show up until a little sun light filters thru. I will take care of it today. Plus a little bit of other cleaning. I plan on doing my room and bathroom today. Nothing better than to curl up in clean sheets at the end of the day. Cisco is not a fan of clean bedding, but he will get his exercise by rolling around and putting his scent back on the bedding lol.

We still have a lot of green leaves hanging onto our trees. Those that have fallen have not been really colorful this year. We have a big oak on the other side of us and it is really losing a lot of it's leaves. Big fat yellow and brown ones. I really don't have the view to see it, but I do see the leaves that fall. To soon the trees will be bare and I will anxiously watch for the first buds to peek out.

You and Pogo have an awesome day. I meant to ask you how the arm is feeling? I am hoping that it is doing much better now. Just don't over do it okay. Talk to you soon and have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow... Love, Beth and Cisco.

In my part of the world it is already Thursday morning, so I can say to you: Happy and blessed Thanksgiving!

Oh gosh, you really did accomplish a big thing yesterday!
Hope today will be as fruitful as that LOL!

I too did some of the things I planned to do yesterday, so that's a good thing.

Will go to my blog now to ramble a bit there and then get busy here in the house.
How is your arm, by the way and how are Deanne and Eddie doing with their cold?
Wish them also a happy Thanksgiving, will you?
Enjoy your day, and the turkey salad.
Hug
